Mon 08.11: 3-5pm
Tues 08.12: Friendly scrimmage vs Taft (AWAY, meet at NHS for 11:30am travel)
Wed 08.13: 5:30-7:30pm
Thurs 08.14: Round Robin Invitation (friendly scrimmage vs Taft, Banks, Tillamook, 4-9pm at NHS)
Fri 08.15: 5:30-7:30pm

Mandatory practices start Monday, Aug 18th, 4-6pm.

⚽️ Nestucca HS Varsity Soccer 2025 - Season Ball Boys/Girls Wanted! ⚽️

For the inaugural season of the upcoming Nestucca HS Varsity soccer season, we would like to create a team of ball boys/girls to help retrieve soccer balls when they go out of play. This helps with the rhythm and fluency of the game! Any interested children should be at least 2nd Grade age and be willing to support all home games at NHS in all weather!

All children will receive a program t-shirt and snacks each game, and will become a valuable helper for the Varsity soccer team. Parents/Legal Guardians of children interested should email Head Coach Peter Deam at [email protected] for further details.

Nestucca 0 Taft 4 (8-3)

Nestucca suffered a third defeat of the season against Taft HS last night. The Bobcats went 1-0 down early after a fast break on the left. The team rallied and had multiple shots well saved with a first half goal disallowed. The team pushed to get back in the game and kept going till the final whistle but were not able to find a breakthrough.

Despite finishing the season on a low, this team’s season will not be defined by one game. Considering 75% of the team had never played competitive soccer before this season shows the level of progress they have made. To finish the season with a 8-3 winning record is a testament to our players’ work ethic, togetherness, and fight for Nestucca. We are extremely proud of this team and celebrate what they’ve brought to this community on and off the field.

We very much look forward to next season and the challenges that lie ahead.

Blanchet Catholic 1 Nestucca 2 (8-2)

Nestucca won their third away game of the season after a hard fought win against Blanchet Catholic. The game was goalless at half-time after the Bobcats squandered a host of chances and missed a penalty. After the break, Nestucca went one nil down after a break away on the counter attack. The team continued to press and never gave up, however, and were rewarded by a fine strike from top scorer Ryan Castro. This was followed up by a run on the right wing by Levi Farrens whose excellent looping shot increased Nestucca’s lead. The team defended resolutely and deserved to win.

Thank you again to our travelling fans for supporting the team. We play Taft HS this Wednesday at home for our final game of the season.

Nestucca 3 Tillamook 2 (7-2)

Nestucca won a thrilling contest against Tillamook tonight to remain unbeaten at home this season. The Mooks took an early lead in the first half from a well struck free kick. A change in formation at halftime made the Bobcats more of an attacking threat and got straight back into the game following a mazy run into the box and sublime finish from captain Eric Chavarin. Henry Ozuna scored the team’s second with a fine assist from Pedro Sandoval, before Chavarin and Sandoval combined well again in a free flowing counter attack move which was coolly finished by Javier Camacho after a left hand cross. The game had a nervy finish as Tillamook scored from a penalty kick but the Bobcats held on to claim another memorable win.

As always, we would like to thank all our fans for their support. We are also extremely grateful to Tillamook for wanting to play us both home and away within their busy 4A schedule. We are excited to join them in being the second soccer team in Tillamook County.

Kennedy 2 Nestucca 1 (6-2)

Nestucca suffered their second defeat of the season after a scrappy encounter. Silly mistakes cost us as we conceded by a breakaway from our corner kick. After halftime, Nestucca equalized by a free kick strike from captain Eric Chavarin, only to then concede again from a long ball forward. The team can take heart from playing a Varsity level opponent and ending the series 1-1 for the season.

Thank you to all families for making the trip and supporting the team!
