Congratulations to former Lady C**t, Kensley Murphy! She’s doing great things on the mat for Walker Valley Mustang Wrestling!. Last week she was Region Runner-Up. This week Sectional Runner-Up. Very impressive run for a freshman!!! Good Luck, Kensley! We are pulling for you at State! Go bring home some hardware!

We celebrated our season this past Thursday, and even though it’s been about a month since the mats rolled up, the growth we saw this year is still something to be proud of. Our wrestlers showed tremendous improvement, grit, and determination from start to finish.

A huge thank-you to every athlete for your hard work and dedication. We especially want to recognize our 19 eighth-graders who will be moving on to the next level after this school year. We’re proud of you, we’re cheering for you, and we’ll definitely be watching your next chapter!

Big shoutout to our coaching crew (Coach Reed, Coach Weiss, Coach Jake, and Coach Albright) for the hours, effort, and heart you pour into this program. Our team is better because of you.

To our wrestlers: take a moment to reflect. What did you do well this season? Where can you grow? Write it down now, and revisit it when next season starts. Improvement doesn’t happen by accident. It happens with intention.

We’re excited for next year and can’t wait to watch all this potential turn into reality.

For 4 of the 6 wrestlers, this was their first postseason experience, and they rose to the challenge. With 3 returning next season, the future of this program is bright.

Our JV team wrapped up the season today at the TVWC JV Tournament with an outstanding performance!

They brought home 13 medals, earning top-4 finishes across the board—a great reward for their hard work and dedication all season long.

The varsity team wrapped up their season at the TVWC Varsity Tournament with a strong performance at Baylor School.

They had 9 wrestlers earn top-4 medals and finished 4th overall as a team—a great way to close out the year!
