These girls battled through some absolutely BRUTAL Texas heat this weekend — temperatures around 115°, and somehow continued to get stronger as the weekend went on. Five games later, they walked away UNDEFEATED and TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS! 🏆

And there were plenty of highlights along the way!
🥎 7-0 vs. Cherry Bombs — The offense exploded for five runs in the first inning and never looked back. Brynlynn Carroll, Faith Rice, Kinzlee Durham and Dayana Mitchell all helped drive in runs, while Rice finished 2-for-2 with 2 RBI and 2 stolen bases. The team swiped 8 bases and played error-free defense!
🥎 5-1 vs. TGA DeMoss 18U — Preslyn Sanders, Faith Rice and Kinzlee Durham helped put three on the board early before Karma Quzma tripled and Brynlynn Carroll singled to add two more. Karma and Brynlynn each collected two hits, while Isabella Rodriguez was dominant in the circle — allowing just one hit and ZERO earned runs while striking out five. She also threw an IMMACULATE INNING, striking out the side on just 9 pitches! 🔥🔥🔥
🥎 5-2 vs. Crusaders HS 18U — Down 2-0, the girls stayed composed and completely flipped the game in the fourth, putting up 5 runs on 6 hits. Saniyah Vo’a delivered the BIG swing with a 3-run HOME RUN to center field! 💣🥎 Bayleigh Richardson was outstanding in the circle, allowing just one hit and ZERO earned runs over four innings.
🥎 3-0 vs. Crusaders HS 18U — And they finished the weekend exactly how they started it — with a SHUTOUT! Isabella Rodriguez went all five innings, allowing only two hits, ZERO runs and ZERO walks. Kinzlee Durham got the scoring started, and Brynlynn Carroll helped add two more with a perfectly executed sacrifice bunt. The defense backed it all up with a double play and ZERO errors!
To play this well is impressive. To do it through five games in extreme heat on scorching turf says even more about the toughness, grit and heart of this group.
The pitching staff and defense were absolutely 🔒 LOCKED IN — just THREE runs allowed the entire tournament. The offense found ways to manufacture runs, came through with big hits in big moments, ran the bases aggressively and kept putting pressure on opponents.
5 games. 5 wins. 27 runs scored. 3 runs allowed. 2 shutouts. 1 CHAMPIONSHIP. 🏆
So incredibly proud of the fight these girls showed this weekend. They earned every bit of this one!
