Well sweet friends, it's been a good run! (Pun fully intended) But, it's time to free up some mental real estate and say goodbye to our beloved Big Wave Run Club!

I'm sad only if I think about all the wonderful memories that were made throughout the journey of bringing Big Wave Run Club to life and during all of the run club sessions. It really was amazing and I learned so so much!! I wouldn't trade it for anything. So mostly, I'm just really glad it happened at all and that I got to meet and work with those of you that I did!

I am excited, though, to be intentional with other things in this season and the season to come (like loving on our sweet new baby girl and homeschooling my kiddos, among other endeavors).

Just wanted to let you guys know that Big Wave Run Club is still around :)

I am pregnant again (wohoo) and pouring into the kiddos I already have, so at this time, sensing that it was best to step back from as many commitments for a season, I don't have any public sessions planned. But, feel free to reach out for a session by request or a private session, and we can explore the possibility!

I hope everyone has a fantastic summer!! And if I do end up putting together a summer session, you guys will be the first to know :)

Hi! It's been a while since I've posted here!

I've been busy being a mama to my four sweet kiddos and doing some run clubs! It's been a fall full of run club and I love it so much!

I just wanted to hop on and let you all know that I will be doing a few sessions at Philippe Park in Jan and February! If you register by Nov 30th you get $10 off :)

Registration will close a month before the session begins, so I can ensure there are enough sign ups for the session to make.

This winter's sessions will be 4 weeks long. A perfect amount of time to count as doing a special activity and gain some of the benefits of doing a run club sessions, but not so long that you have to commit for the entire winter!

There will be family sessions and kid only sessions.

Here's what we have going on for the rest of the month:

WEDNESDAY September 21st - We will be having a one time Friends and Family Class from 5:30-6:30 at the Dunedin Community Center. This will be structured like a classic Big Wave Run Club Class (Warm Up, Lesson, Drill, Game, and Cool Down) but with an added bonus... We will have a guest speaker from Fitlife Foods sharing with us about Fitness and Food!

This class would be great to come to if you're looking for something fun to do with the kids next week. It would also be a great class to attend if food and fitness are things you've been talking about in your house lately, or if it's a conversation you'd like to start!

SATURDAY September 24th - We will have a 4 week family session. It will meet from 9:30-10:30 on Saturday mornings behind the Dunedin Community Center. This is for everyone in the family! Everyone will work on growth mindset skills, practice running skills, get some great exercise, and make some fun memories! This could be the perfect family activity that's fun for everyone and provides you with some intentional time together.

If you are looking for a reason to use your Fitlife Foods coupon, then come visit me tomorrow! I will be at Fitlife Foods Clearwater from 11:30am-2:30pm, and I'd love to see you there!

I've loved the meals I've tried from them so far and I'd love to tell you which ones are my favorite. It would also be amazing to see some of you again and have the chance to meet some of you in person! Even if you don't need a meal for tomorrow, you'll leave with a fresh and yummy meal that you'll have when you need it later this week.

Have you ever tried to go for a run with your child and they've started sprinting right away, only to be done running 5 minutes later?

An important part of becoming an effective and skilled runner is knowing how to run based on the purpose of your run. If you're running a short distance, as fast as you can, you definitely want to give it all you've got! But, if you are running for distance, make sure you set a pace that is easy to maintain and use your energy too quickly.

This is one of many skills we teach your kiddos during our time together!

This is also something to consider as you go about your daily tasks: Is this a task I can do quickly, or will it take some time? Then you can plan accordingly and be in the right mindset.

Stop what you're doing and STRETCH!

Did you know that no single position is inherently bad for your body? The issues arise when you stay in a single position for too long.

So if you're sitting, stand up or open your arms out wide and reposition yourself. If you're standing, stretch whatever feels tight. Your body will thank you.

And most importantly, enjoy the stretch!

It's time to register!!

If you want you or your family to attend a Big Wave Run Club session this fall, NOW IS THE TIME to register!

You need to be registered by the time sessions start which is just ONE week from today for two of our sessions.

Also, there is a minimum amount of registrations required for a session to happen, so if you have friends or family who are interested, make sure you remind them to register, also.

My favorite simple description of teamwork is, "We can do together what we cannot do alone." So, so good.

I don't know about you, but I see that on display time and time again, just in my own family and home!

Run club is such a great way to teach and reinforce the concept of teamwork both as a group of kids AND as a family. In fact, teaching the importance of teamwork as a family is my favorite way to introduce it.

If you teach a child something and have them practice it once a week with that group of kids, it will help them and they will probably do it really well with that group. If you teach your child something in the home, day after day, that is a game changer. What they are taught at home, spoken and unspoken, will overflow into everyday life. So, teaching the importance of teamwork at home helps them grasp the concept and be a better team player at school, on teams, and one day at work or in their own future families.

We love having the opportunity to come alongside you as you teach this at home by reinforcing (or introducing) the concept at Big Wave Run Club.

Having a blast at my first event as !

It’s been so much fun interacting with the kids here and doing some fun exercises with them!

One thing is for sure, I love this job and I’m so proud of this business I’m building. And, I’m super thankful for the opportunity to partner with !

It’s been a blast hanging out with them today at their MDA event and I can’t wait for Kids Camp at their place next Saturday!!
