Florida Disc Golf Hall of Fame announces the induction of The Aviles Family.

We are sad the announcement followed the recent loss of Ed Aviles, rather than before.
The memorial service for Ed is Tuesday June 16th, and the family has invited all those who can attend.

It was important to us to make this public announcement before the memorial service.

We shall make more announcements In the near future. Details of the current work and effort of the Florida Disc Golf Hall of Fame will be disclosed soon. Out of respect for Ed and his family we will not be discussing or replying to HOF details in this post.

The Florida Hall of Fame plaques are now on the wall below all the international disc call Hall of Fame discs.These are duplicates of the plaques handed out to Kenny, Slasor, Jaws, Willis, and Hosfeld.
We're now working on designing the display signage of the presentation speech and bio info for each player to accompany their plaque.

Hos is hard at work documenting the Flying Disc History Museum discs starting with a Frisbie Pie tin.

We can't wait to show off the first fully completed wall.

The inside walls are built. The displays are now going back up.

Hosfeld is here for a couple days. He has put back up the History of Flying Discs.
Trevor is working on how to redo the posters and documentation from Lavone Wolfe to integrate with each disc.

Glimpses in the photo of the Wham-O Wall. History of Wham-O discs, with a World Championships display and North American Series. Lots of work to do on this wall.

We look forward to making some more updates as we move toward a new soft opening for the new displays.

Update. The walls are painted.
Now the grids are going up.

Extra strong. Meant to last.
The inside walls are made of wood, not drywall. Way more expensive, but so much stronger.
So we're putting in screws to hold the museum discs, not push pins. This should last for years, and we can back the screws in and out depending on the depth of the discs we are displaying.

We are making a push for the final construction phase.
