It's always so hard to put into words the pride that coaches feel at the end of a hard-fought season. Each year is so unique as our girls grow as athletes and as people. We make memories and take risks that bond teams like little families as we pursue what's possible. With all this in mind, here's a recap of our second day at the 2026 Evergreen Regional Championships:
Our U16 team started our day off strong, winning a challenge match at the HUB against a scrappy 208 team in 3 sets! They eventually fell in two very close sets to start bracket play, ending their season. The story of our U16 team this season was one of overcoming adversity both mentally and physically. These student-athletes compete in multiple activities this time of year (club volleyball, track, tennis, golf, softball) but always show up for each other and their coaches. Brocklynn and Leslie led with a lot of heart this season! 🩷
Our U14 team played in the afternoon wave at the Podium. Fun fact: Since Regionals expanded to a 64-team tournament and began using the Podium, this is the first year that a Clark Fork team has earned a ranking high enough to compete at the Podium on Day 2 of Regionals! 🥳 The team was able to grind out a 2-set win over Snake River in their challenge match. They then faced a solid Club South team in the first round of bracket play, and couldn't quite pull it off, finishing 27th out of 64 teams. This team earned our club many firsts this season, including 3 gold finishes out of 5 tournaments, as well as a silver championship. Beyond that, they used their best effort and most aggressive volleyball all the way to the final whistle, supporting and celebrating each other the entire time. That's incredible representation for our community! 🫶
While sitting in the stands between matches with one of our U14 players, she said to me: "You know what's crazy? Every single player down there has their own story of how they got here." 🥹
I am struck over and over by waves of pride that we get to pursue what's possible with these girls, and show them how capable they are through our painstakingly technical, vulnerable, joyful sport. THANK YOU to everyone who makes this possible. Go Juniors.
