Yesterday, our members of Cibolo Fire Department led a rapid and highly effective high-water rescue at FM 1103 and Buffalo Crossing, working seamlessly alongside Public Works, Police personnel, Schertz Fire Department, and other agencies.
Three students who had entered dangerously rising waters were safely rescued, and quickly evaluated for injuries. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
This successful response is a direct reflection of the courage, training, and professionalism of our firefighters and supporting agencies who answered the call without hesitation.
It also highlights the importance of City Council’s continued investment in providing the right equipment needed for public safety, as the new ladder truck proved to be a vital asset in bringing this incident to a safe conclusion.
