4/29/26 Update from Enterprise Police Department: The search for Genesis is ongoing. Investigators have continued following up on tips and information received. The search of the landfill is scheduled to begin the 1st week of May and may take up to 9 weeks to complete. A specific area is being targeted during the search, and It will require the excavation and relocation of thousands of cubic yards of material. The material will be carefully and methodically searched before being relocated to another area.
Surrounding law enforcement agencies will be assisting in the search efforts. Because of the equipment being utilized and the fact that this is an active, ongoing investigation, unauthorized access of the landfill is NOT permitted. Media and citizens are asked to stay away from the landfill during this time.
One thing he said that is absolutely worth repeating: This is an active investigation, it is CRITICAL that the integrity of the search area is preserved.
Based on the case action summary, it appears Reid has been indicted on all three charges - capital murder, co**se abuse, and false report - though a copy of that indictment is not yet available. Her arraignment is scheduled for August 6, 2026.

3/9/2026 Enterprise Police Department update: The last confirmed sighting of Genesis was Christmas Day. Around 11:30 p.m. on Christmas Day, Adrienne Reid was captured on a nearby camera pulling a rolling duffle bag to the apartment dumpster. She was later seen taking toys and other items belonging to Genesis to the same dumpster.
Authorities now believe that Adrienne willfully murdered Genesis, placed her in the duffle bag, and disposed of both in the dumpster. As of today, Adrienne Reid has been charged with capital murder and abuse of a co**se. The 12th Circuit District Attorneys Office - Coffee and Pike County plans to seek the death penalty.
A team from Atlanta that specializes in land field searches will be coming in to assist local agencies in an upcoming search of the land field.
This is not the update anyone was hoping for. Our heart goes out to Genesis' family, Enterprise Police Department, Coffee County Sheriff's Office - Alabama and the Coffee 12th Circuit District Attorneys Office - Coffee and Pike County.

2/19/26 Update from Enterprise Police Department: There are no new significant developments. Chief Moore urged anyone with information - or anyone WITH Genesis - to come forward NOW. The search for Genesis is not stopping, and they will pursue charges against those who withhold information. (And if you think he's talking to you, he probably is. So this is your sign to stop waiting.)
The Moriah in the community is NOT the Moriah they are looking for. The person in the community IS being cooperative, and they are considered a WITNESS, not a suspect. (In other words, back off with the speculations. They aren't helpful.) What I take from this is they are still trying to locate "Moriah."
There is a community vigil tomorrow night. It will be at Enterprise City Hall at 7:00 p.m.
From the bottom of our hearts, please stop spreading misinformation. It really makes their jobs harder, and multiple agencies are working around the clock to locate Genesis. Don't add to that load.

2/18/26 Update from EPD: Enterprise Police confirmed that a search was conducted this morning utilizing a cadaver K9. There were areas where the K9 showed interest; however, nothing further was located at this time.
According to DA Tarbox, Adrienne is currently being held on a $1,000,000 cash bond. Law enforcement stated this bond is based on the fact that she is the only known suspect in Genesisβ disappearance, that evidence has allegedly been hidden or destroyed, and that she is considered a significant flight risk.
Chief Moore again strongly discouraged speculation and the sharing of unverified information on social media. Please hear this clearly: spreading rumors only diverts time and resources away from credible leads and investigative work.
Authorities have not located Moriah. They do believe there is an individual named Moriah who may have information relevant to the investigation.
If you have credible information, contact Enterprise Police immediately.
Letβs stay focused on facts. Letβs protect the integrity of this investigation. And most importantly, letβs keep Genesis at the center of this.

2/17/26 Update 2 from EPD: Based on what is currently known, EPD has reason to believe that Adrienne Reid filed a false report and has not been honest about Genesisβ whereabouts. Adrienne has been charged with filing a false report and will be held with no bond until a hearing can be scheduled. They will be asking to increase her bond based on the information received/developed in the current investigation.
Regarding the photo of the mattress floating around, it was not collected because investigators determined it was not relevant to the case. They are collecting all evidence believed to be relevant, and they ask that the public contact authorities if they find something they believe is related. DO NOT PICK IT UP. Let trained professionals collect the evidence, please.
This is important: There are no PUBLIC searches scheduled at this time. If you are walking through an active crime scene or search area, you are potentially contaminating evidence. Please wait until EPD requests public assistance for a search.
They still need contact information for Moriah. If you have it, get it to them. Do not wait.

2/17/26 Update from Enterprise Police Department: EPD was dispatched to Apache Drive after Genesis was reported missing around 3 a.m. on February 16, 2026. Adrienne Reid, Genesis' mother, told investigators she went to check on Genesis and discovered she was not in the home and the door to the residence was open. As the investigation has progressed, multiple witnesses have indicated Genesis has not been seen in several weeks. Adrienne has been detained for questioning.
EPD is also seeking information on a Black female named Moriah who is known to frequent Levels Bar and Grille on Daleville Avenue in Enterprise as well as areas of Ozark. IF YOU HAVE INFORMATION OR CONTACT WITH GENESIS, ADRIENNE REID, OR MORIAH, PLEASE CONTACT EPD IMMEDIATELY.

Genesis Nova Reid was reported missing February 16, 2026, from a residence located at 201 Apache Dr. in Enterprise, AL. According to Enterprise Police Department, Genesis was discovered missing from her bed and a door to the residence was found open. Her direction of travel is unknown.
Genesis is a 2 (almost 3)-year-old Black female, approximately 2 feet 5 inches tall and 30 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
She was last known to be wearing pink Minnie Mouse pajamas.
Neighbors have told media they have not seen Genesis in several weeks, and Enterprise PD is asking ANYONE who may have seen Genesis in the last 30 days to come forward.

Edit: According to the EPD press conference, Genesis' mother reported her missing at approx. 3:00 a.m. this morning. Based on the information in ALEA and now by EPD, and assuming the mother is accurate in her times, that's a window of 8:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. If you have game cameras, Ring/Nest/Blink/Whatever other brand doorbells/security cameras, CHECK YOUR FOOTAGE.
