On Wednesday KREF TV hosted our Cross Country teams for a preseason show at Buffalo Wild Wings. It really was a great time showcasing our runners in this way and having a chance to talk about to upcoming season.

Runners and Parents!! Please come to physical night and take care of your physical for next school year. Please don’t wait and get turned away from training with the team this Summer.

Physicals turn over during the summer, so if you have gotten one this Spring it will not count for our XC season. To participate in official team practices you will need a physical uploaded to RankOne and all XC runners are expected to run in the summer with us (more details on that next week).

THANK YOU Coach Reaves for 25 years of leadership in our Cross Country program and 35 years of leadership with our sister sport, track.

Simply put, when people think of Choctaw Track and Cross Country Jay Reaves is the person they think of and for good reason. He has a laundry list of achievements, but more importantly he is known for his consistency in his approach, tireless work ethic, and most notably his overall good nature.

Coach, you are more than deserving of this accolade and acknowledgement from your peers in the coaching community, but also know that those of us who have been coached by, taught by, or are currently being coached or taught by you, are truly grateful for your influence in our lives.

Congratulations to our boys for placing 6th at regionals and qualifying for the OSSAA 6A State meet!

The girls ran incredibly hard in a competitive field of teams and placed 8th. Emery Taylor and Sarah de Gaston qualify as individual runners for state.
