Spring Creek Motocross Park race day #2 was just as fun as day #1. Jaxon had a much better day on his 65 than the day before. Better starts and more speed. Moto 1 finished 3rd. Moto 2 wasn't quite what he wanted after a great first moto but still finished 6th for an overall of P4 and had a great time. So proud of his determination to get on his big bike and still show up 🏁🏁🏁

Meric lined up again with 32 kids running the PW class. Moto 1 he had probably the best ride of his life out of the gates in second and held that the entire race just plowing thru lappers and running a clean amazing race. Moto 2 he didn't quite get the start he wanted as a kid in front of him corner one went down. It's a tight corner and lots of bikes coming and he had to put his feet down. It slowed him down but didn't stop him. He got back up with the fast kids and just couldn't make the passes ending with 9th place for an overall of 7th. 🏁🏁🏁🏁

What an amazing weekend! As we were leaving the discussion of when we can make it back. So hopefully you'll see us back for the races in October 🤞🏻. If we can make it, Jaxon said he's running the big track. We didn't have the heart to tell him that's his only option as his 50 career is over. He's aged out. But we're proud of him for wanting to get up and tackle that pro level track.

We are having a blast Spring Creek Motocross Park for our first ever experience!!! 🏁🏁🏁

Meric trophied his first ever experience at spring Creek. 38 riders. So they had to make it a 2 moto format to moto 2. Split the field in half and ran 2 separate races to make the main. Race 1 he took the hole shot and finished 2nd just behind Cooper. Second moto they stacked the gate. He lined up 4th gate pick. Didnt get the best start but charged. Got back to the top bikes. But the battle finally found lap traffic and it turned into chaos with 38 PWs all going. He fell to 9th for an overall of 9. After never seeing or riding the track up until yesterday. Impressed 🏁. Jaxon had a rough day. First moto on his 65 he stalled it out at the gate drop🤦🏻‍♂️. Had to get it off the bucket list I guess. Second 65 moto he got a terrible start but they red flagged it for other reasons so he got to try again. Kids next to him at restart looped it out and Jaxon clobbered him. So both motos was like 8th out of 16. So he overcame adversity and we had an awesome time. Until races tomorrow....🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁

It's been a few weeks since we've sent out our weekly racing posts. Just know, both boys have both been kicking ass in ways we never expected them too and are so proud of these kids.

We showed up last night for more gate drops. But yesterday wasn't about us. It also wasn't about racing. Tho we did have an amazing evening of racing. We showed up to support a fallen moto friend from this wonderful community we are a part of. It hits too close to home and is everyone of our worst nightmares...

Rest in peace Levi Schelhaas 🪽 #53🪽
Keep an eye on all of us and make sure the big man upstairs takes special care of your closest family and friends. Our hearts ache to have to be a part of last night. But it shows just how much everyone does care 💙

THE MOST EXPENSIVE THING IN MOTOCROSS ISN’T THE BIKE.

It’s time.

You don’t realize it at first.

You think you’re buying a dirt bike.

Then you buy boots.

Then a helmet.

Then gear.

Then a stand.

Then another set of bars because somebody crashed.

Then tires.

Then gas.

Then race entries.

Then a hauler.

Then a hotel because the kid made the next round.

Then you realize you haven’t had a normal weekend in three years.

You miss birthdays.

You miss parties.

You turn down vacations.

You spend Friday nights loading a trailer while everybody else is making dinner.

You wake up before daylight and drive six hours so your kid can get eight minutes of track time.

And eventually somebody asks you:

“Is it worth it?”

That’s actually a hard question.

Because if you’re doing the math…

No.

It doesn’t make sense.

But here’s the part nobody understands.

You’re not really paying for the race.

You’re paying for the mornings your kid gets up before you do because he’s excited.

You’re paying for the friendships he’ll remember when he’s 30.

You’re paying for the confidence he carries into a room because he learned how to lose without quitting.

You’re paying for the conversations that only happen at 2 a.m. in a truck somewhere three towns from home.

You’re paying for memories that don’t come with a receipt.

And someday…

the bikes will be gone.

The boots will be sitting in a closet.

The truck won’t have a trailer behind it.

And that kid who used to yell,

“WATCH THIS!”

will be grown.

That’s when you’ll realize what you were actually buying all those years.

Not motocross.

Time.

And you never get that s**t back.

Turn up the volume. "Here comes your race leader who has stretched his advantage out to astronomical lengths". 17 racers at the gates and he takes the W with a 30 second lead over 2nd place. Proud parents 🏁. He's Loving the podiums on his Pax Racing AMA legal build 🏁🏁🏁🏁. Most likely Series champion bent frame and all 🏆🏆🏆
Next time we show up to races. No more bent frames. Maybe he can get it to 40 seconds... Remember folks. This young man is only 5 and still has another season on this bike. But next summer if he keeps improving we'll be trying to qualify to line up with the fastest in the nation at Loretta Lynn's MX Ranch 🤞🏻🤞🏻🏁🏁

No rain all summer long and we get rained out for the Race School. Huge bummer but that's motocross...... 🏁🏁🏁

The riding school for today is cancelled! The race is still happening tonight, this cancelation will not affect that!

Huge shout out to Michael Payne and RIP SNORT Racing 🏁 They came to the track today with their welder and Mike welded all the gussets onto Meric's (we may start calling him couch cause he doesn't stand) brand new unbent PW frame 🏁. Back to straight. But he may not get his seat back after everything is swapped over 🤷‍♂️ Thanks again 🏁🏁🏁

Friday night both boys showed up for Motokazie DPMX series round 8. What a fantastic night of racing!!! Jaxon in premix main event rocket shipped off the gate! First to the first corner! But, he went down and looked like he got run over. Thankfully Carson is a hell of a rider and narrowly missed him 🙏🏻 Dad went running!!!! Who cares about a disqualification? Not us when we think our kids are in trouble. But the sprint down the start wasn't necessary. He picked himself up in last place and absolutely charged the field ending himself in 3rd place for the finish!! Open class he grabbed a 4th place finish. Great night for Jaxon! Meric main event on his PW? He decided to test his parents and did exactly as Jaxon. Went down after rocketing the start. But he is also tough as nails and picked himself up in last place and charged!!! Ending 3rd place. Out of 22 riders. A repeat of his brother. As we don't worry enough they just had to show us they have it. So fricken proud!!!! He also went down on his cobra in the main event shortly after entering the track. And charged to a 4th place finish. It was amazing to see both boys determined to finish in top spots. So so proud of these boys for believing in themselves after it just wasn't going their way and they still made it their night!!!!🏁🏁🏁🏁. Fantastic racing as always! Can't wait for the next gate drops. These boys are determined to succeed and we love to see that from them. Especially in a world that's gone so soft. We are not raising quitters. Back to back races Thursday and Friday. Tired? Maybe. But bad asses? Yes!!!
