❗️RACE UPDATE❗️

Rock Damn 2/7/26

As I'm trying to get the page back on track, this is last weekend's race update! We will be at Serona this Weekend on Valentine’s Day! 1/1426

Saturday morning we woke up around 5 and we were on the lake by 6:30. We had been working for our race points. Leaving us with spots right up front so we were lucky for that. I didn't mention this in last week's post but because of Emily’s concussion we had a quad we needed to fix and dad did just that but that led him to RACE! So we are an official dad, daughter racing team!

Dad raced in my class( scary as fu@k BTW) we got right to work in the morning and changed the tires got the quads to tech and then we had to get straight to practice. Dad and I got to go out together so that was fun. ( I beat him ) he got the hang of it so fast I was very impressed. I was also racing the 90 so thank you Devin for staying up all night track Taking my 90 with me.

Mom officially needs to stay in the trailer because her heart rate reached 130 again… she’s gonna have a heart attack. Dad and I ended up in two different heats, sad but what can you do. Dad raced first and as he was out there I couldn’t watch, it was too scary for me. Little did I know it was my heat that was the scariest. My heat had three restarts, one was because someone flipped, the second one I'm not sure of what happened, and the third was because I got bucked off my machine in the first lap around corner three. It knocked the wind out of me so I was not able to get up for a bit leading to everyone running to me. Which thanks to everyone who did. I was fine though and got back up and got back on the machine. Took the quad back to the restart and kept racing. ( mom didn't think I was going to) I finished last because I think something happened to the quad and it wasn’t getting enough sp*ed. We had LCQ’s because we had 18 people in our class. I ran LCQ’s but dad did not, his machine still wasn’t running right after fixing it. I didn't make LCQ’s so I was out for that race. I did so much better in P*e Wee this weekend because of track tack. I also had a bit of fun competition. I was also fighting to finish before this one guy that, him and I were just jumping on our machines trying to get traction to make them go faster, I beat him of course.

After racing was over we packed the trailer up and headed up to rewards to celebrate Lincoln and his third place this weekend. We were home by 8 and in bed by 9. I will say I have been sore all week with my arm and my knee.

Anyway thank you all for keeping up with the page. Catch us out on lake Serona For the BIG MONEY RACE!! 2/14/26 we are staying in a cabin up there so hopefully some fun family bonding time.

PS… A lot of people have asked why there aren’t videos and it's because I can't add them to posts for some reason. I will try and figure that out this week.

Serena will be broadcasted as well so if you would like to watch make sure to head over to NORTHERN WISCONSIN ICE RACING CLUB’s Facebook and watch for the link!!

❗️RACE UPDATE❗️

So unfortunately I have been a little behind with updates, and I forgot the last two weekends so this is an update for 1/31/26. To start I just wanna put out there that I'm so grateful for everyone who has put in work and time to make this happen day in and day out.

1/31/26 Update: We raced on Island Lake, and we were there around 6:30 in the morning getting the trailer ready and changing tires. It was Emily’s first time racing studded so we had double the quads in the trailer and to get teched and ready. I also decided I was gonna try adult p*e wee. Mom teched the p*e wee, we had to teach her how to drive the machine first. After tech we had practice right after and as soon as Emily was up for practice I think mom was having a heart attack on the side lines. (130 was her heart rate…) practice for me was good. I felt like I was racing for once and not scared to give sp*ed to my technique. Emily had no fear during any of her races she had second in practice, for her first time on a studded quad during a race that was amazing!! After practice we got asked to do flags, so we did flags during the national anthem. Mom made us amazing walking tacos for food. She’s the best race chef ever! Overall it was a great morning preparing for racing and spending time together.

Dee’s races: first race I was able to pass two people and ended up 7th. In my second race of the day I got passed and the guy rubbed my tire. It scared me but I still had one guy beat so I wasn’t last. On my P*e Wee I kinda struggled bc I completely forgot rubber was a Different world but I did have fun racing with a bunch of adults on tiny quads.

Emily's races: we were all so excited to see what she could do after she got second in practice, she held second until the third lap and by the third lap the quad basically said heck nah and gave up on her. ( we think it's a carb issue) she ended up with a 4th. As soon as she pulled off we pulled the quad in the trailer and tore it apart trying to make it run for her. Dad and Devin finally got it to run so we got her a practice lap during intermission but she took the quad and everything it had and as she went into turn two she rolled the quad and luckily flew off the opposite way as the quad. She bent her steering stem. Well she had a banged up knee and arm. She then later started to get a head ache and we started to wonder if she hit her head and maybe had a concussion. We later found out in the week that she did. So she could not race rock damn the next weekend.

So on to Rock Damn’s race update… 2/7/26

❗️RACE UPDATE❗️
1/24/26 lake Eau Claire

Last weekend we raced lake Eau Claire! The frigid weather did not hold us back.(-20) we got on the ice around 6:45-7:00 in the morning and started warming up the trailer as soon as possible(4 heaters was definitely enough) I got all my warm clothes on and stayed as warm as possible!! we ran to the bar for registration and I came back and dad had my tires all changed! (So shout out to dad for that) he also was so kind and teched my quad so I didn’t have to freeze right before practice! Once dad was back from tech I went to the line to practice and I was the only one out there so swanny so kindly sent me out to practice all on my own!! Now with out a fist bump tho(thanks swanny your the best) Which was so amazing bc it was my first time running the quad since we did a few changes! After practice we went to the drivers meet to freeze our butts off. Then off to the line for the first race!

🏁Race 1️⃣: goggles fogged up and couldn’t see much so I came second to last!!

During intermission we had some amazing food(sloppy joes) thanks to moms amazing cooking! We also at some point lost our generator(off to buy a new one🙁) and we watched some great racing and spent quality time together!

🏁Race 2️⃣: I was pretty quick of the line, but last to catch the group I couldn’t get a grip on my sp*ed so I kinda threw the race out and just tried to figure out what I needed to do to get the quad in my control. Ended last but great practice in my opinion!

After all racing was done we decided Emily was gonna take the quad out for a spin to see what studded was like! Now we are welcoming a new racer to our team(possibly two) and I’m also taking on adult p*ewee tomorrow!!

Catch yall at the track tomorrow on island lake or next week for the update!!

❗️FIRST RACE OF THE SEASON❗️

Last weekend was the very first race of the season. We pulled the quad out a week before. (Due to not thinking we were gonna do it) but we did and got it out on the ice.

1st race: I did rlly good but I didn’t place, oh well we’re just getting started.

2nd race: a girl flipped and we needed a restart, finished in 6th overall though.

Overall a great weekend! Thank you to everyone who came to support and watch!!
