Tomorrow is National Trails Day!

National Trails Day falls on the first Saturday in June and recognizes the incredible benefits federal, state and local trails provide for recreation and exposure to nature. This information National Day encourages people to discover their local trials, become active concerning trail issues, and share their excitement for the outdoors.

The Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge invites visitors to discover the beautiful trails throughout the Refuge. The trails go through pine forests and marsh flatlands with a plethora of wildlife. Attached to this post is a Refuge trail map. Maps are also located at the Bateman Visitor Center's welcome desk.
