Consumers are getting smarter.

They can feel the difference between manufactured marketing… and genuine human connection.

In a world full of overedited videos, AI tricks, scripts, and noise, the agents who will win are the ones who know how to build real relationships, tell real stories, and create real trust.

Technology matters. Marketing matters. AI absolutely matters.

The judge ruled. And the conversation around Zillow vs. MRED just got very real.

Yes… listings are back on Zillow. But if you read beyond the headlines, the bigger story is what the court protected:

Seller choice.
Agent strategy.
And the right for homeowners to decide HOW and WHEN their home enters the market.

The fight was never just about a feed.

The larger issue was whether one platform could dictate how every listing must be marketed and whether agents and sellers would lose the flexibility to create strategic pre-market opportunities that often generate stronger results.

The court made it clear:
Real estate professionals and their sellers still have options.

As a real estate broker and coach, I believe this matters deeply because every seller situation is different. Some homes benefit from immediate MLS exposure. Others benefit from strategic pre-marketing, private networks, or phased launch plans.

There is no “one size fits all” approach in real estate.

And frankly… there shouldn’t be.

The real value of a great agent is the ability to sit across from a seller and explain:
• what the options are
• why they matter
• and which strategy best protects their goals

That’s what this ruling preserved.

The market is changing quickly. The technology is changing quickly. But relationships, strategy, negotiation, and seller advocacy still matter.

And they always will.
