🪿 DAILY HONK | GOOSE NUGGET

When hitting an overhead from the “Fun Zone” (aka your feet are in front of the first post near the net), flow through your shot — THEN recover.

Don’t try to get back into position while you’re hitting.
That steals your angle and space to hit the ball over the net and effectively into the court.

Remember… when you’re in the Fun Zone, your goal is to PUNISH. If you take your feet out of the Fun Zone while hitting, you lose your ability to truly capitalize on your opponents’ mistake — the short lob.

When you hit an offensive shot and put your opponents on defense, anticipate the defensive response — the LOB!

Get yourself in position early (immediately AFTER hitting) and be ready for the next shot. Always expect it’s coming back!

Flow. Recover. Anticipate.

Daily Honk | FOCUS OF THE WEEK: HUNTING 🎯

Why do we lob?? To set up the drive!

A great lob isn’t the finish — it’s the setup. Now go hunt that next ball!

If you hit a great lob and your opponents are unbalanced:
Get up to the baseline.
Take time away from them. Apply pressure.
Do not stand back and admire your lob. You can admire it after you win the point!

If they hit a weak overhead:
Look to drive — and finish with your feet in the BLUE.

🟥 If they overhit their overhead:
Be a matador!
Let it go. Assess.
