Recently the Chinese sat down in Diario Chaco to talk unfiltered about his fight with Mayweather and told things that at the time never came to light.

Canelo Álvarez regrets not having signed a rematch clause to face Terence Crawford again. The tapatío acknowledged that a champion should always secure a second chance and admitted that today he regrets not having done so. Nevertheless, he is convinced that that fight could happen again, because he believes Crawford will seek that fight out of pride and to prove who is the best, beyond money.
Meanwhile, Canelo already has his sights set on October, when he will face Christian Mbilli with the goal of regaining the WBC 168-pound world title. Although he admits to that regret, he assures that things happen for a reason and maintains confidence that the long-awaited draw with Crawford could still become a reality.

Canelo Álvarez's fight against Christian Mbilli is rescheduled for October 31. The news was confirmed by The Ring and that will be the definitive date in Saudi Arabia to dispute the CMB world title in the 168-pound division.
Undoubtedly, Canelo will have one of the most demanding challenges of recent years. He will face Christian Mbilli, an undefeated fighter with great knockout power and an impressive physique. The Mexican has already had some luck in the 175-pound division, where he couldn't overcome Dmitry Bivol, and now he returns to the division that best suits his conditions. For me, the 168-pound division remains his ideal category and he shouldn't return to increase his weight. We'll see if the tapatío manages to regain his title as world champion on October 31.

The before and after of Miguel Cotto. In his amateur career he had the impressive mark of 125 wins and 23 defeats. Yes, he won a lot of fights, but he also suffered several falls that served to forge the character he would later show as a professional. In 1998 he participated in the World Youth Championship held in Buenos Aires, where he achieved three victories and one defeat. He then competed at the Pan American Games in Winnipeg, Canada, where he lost his only fight. He later formed a part of the Amateur Boxing World Championships in Houston, Texas, and fell back in his only fight of that tournament.
His last great experience as a fan came at the Sydney 2000 Olympics, where he lost on points to Uzbek Mamadkadir Abdullaev. Although that defeat may seem negative, it's worth noting that Abdullaev had an extraordinary amateur career and is considered one of the best amateur boxers in Uzbekistan's history. Years later they met again in professionalism and Miguel Cotto took revenge by knocking him out in the ninth attack in 2005. That Olympic defeat marked the end of his amateur stage and the beginning of a legendary professional career. He beat Shane Mosley, defeated Sergio "Maravilla" Martinez, knocked out Antonio Margarito and shared the ring with figures like Manny Pacquiao, Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Canelo Alvarez. Miguel Cotto never shied away from challenges and built a career that deserves the utmost respect. Without a doubt, we're talking about one of the best boxers in the history of Puerto Rico and an unforgettable figure in world boxing.

Jaron Ennis can surpass Floyd Mayweather's legacy. At 29, “Boots” Ennis holds the same record Floyd Mayweather had at that age: 36-0. Obviously, to me, Floyd has up to that point faced rivals of much higher caliber than Ennis has. So, on second thought, I find it very difficult that I can top Mayweather's legacy.
But still, if Jaron Ennis reaches 50-0, manages to remain undefeated and only faces elite rivals like Sebastian Fundora, Vergil Ortiz and other boxers of that level, he could even surpass Floyd's legacy. Also, Ennis didn't suffer the problems on the hands that Mayweather had for much of his career, so he maintains incredible hitting power and can keep adding knockouts. If he makes it to 50-0 facing the best in the world, he'll undoubtedly enter the conversation of the greatest of all time.

Everyone thought Eddie Hall, the world's strongest man, would run out of air in round two against Tommy Fury. They made a mistake.
Hall endured the full 6 rounds and came out to show his face after the defeat:
🗣"People underestimated me. They thought I was gonna run out of air in round 2. But people forget I'm an athlete. I was an olympic level swimmer I am the strongest man in the world. You don't get to the top in a sport by being lazy. I’m one of the hardest working athletes you’ll meet. "
And about Tommy, he was completely honest:
🗣 "Tommy was so fit that it was really hard to catch him." I knew it was going to be like this and having the engine to go six rounds was really tough. "
✅Lost. But he proved something no one expected to see in the ring that night.
