The Illinois Girls Lacrosse Association would like to thank our players, families, coaches, officiants, directors, affiliate clubs and all our park district partners for their patience and ongoing support in this unprecedented time. We have received many calls, emails and texts from families looking forward to our start in three weeks, most heartbreaking are the girls anxious to get back to their teammates and the sport we all love.
However, the time has come to officially cancel our IGLA Spring 2020 Pink and Purple League, and Spring 2020 Little Laxers program for the safety of our community.
We will especially miss coming together with all our teams at what would have been our 14th annual Youth Fest. The IGLA will carry on our traditions, including honoring our 9th Grade Players, our Coach of the Year and Director of the Year at the IGLA Fall Fest on October 18, 2020.
This decision to cancel also includes our IGLA Summer 2020 Purple League and IGLA Community Based Summer 2020 Camps. Lakeshore Lacrosse will offer Summer 2020 Chicago Stars Training Programs for K through rising 10th graders at a couple spacious venues with their exceptional coaches, in addition to their club teams and private training. We will send information on those options for your daughter, and the registration link is below.
All of us at the IGLA look forward to seeing each of you on the fields when we start IGLA Fall Pink League on Sunday, September 13, 2020. Little Laxers will be held in Chicago, Oak Brook and Wheaton. For our Purple Players, I am excited to announce that this Fall we are transitioning IGLA Purple into Lakeshore Lacrosse’s Fall Rec League under the guidance of their skilled Lakeshore coaches, providing opportunities to play more club and affiliate/feeder teams.
As per the Spring cancellation and refund policies of our park district partners, we are offering household credit, less a $25 processing fee ($5 for Little Laxers). If you registered and paid at the Glen Ellyn, Glenview, or Vernon Hills Park District, we have notified them of the season cancellation, please contact the park district directly for refunds and/or household credit (at the discretion of your park district). If you registered and paid directly with IGLA we have issued you the credit that you can use towards any of the following programs: the IGLA Fall 2020 Pink League, the Lakeshore Lacrosse Fall 2020 Rec League, Lakeshore Lacrosse’s Fall 2020 Little Laxers, Lakeshore Lacrosse Summer 2020 Chicago Stars Camps, or Lakeshore Lacrosse Stars Beginner and Intermediate Fall and Winter training classes. This credit lives in your League Apps account (the one used to register for the league). There is no further action required on your part. You will see your credit the next time you log in. We will get all credits into accounts by the end of the month.

Our Fall programs, IGLA Fall Pink League, Lakeshore Lacrosse’s Fall 2020 Little Laxers, Stars Fall and Winter training and Lakeshore Lacrosse Rec League, will start registration on August 1, look for our email with registration links then.
