🎉👏🏾CONGRATULATIONS TO MONIQUE AND ANTWON BROWN ON OPENING AURORA’S NEWEST BLACK-OWNED BUSINESS!

🍽🍹🎶Downtown Aurora is getting a new flavor and a new vibe with the opening of Vibez on the River , a restaurant created by couple Monique and Antwon Brown. Officially opening this weekend, the riverside spot is bringing a lively dining experience inspired by the energy of Chicago nightlife, something the owners say has been missing locally. The two-level restaurant will feature a family-friendly dining space upstairs and a late-night lounge vibe downstairs, complete with music, cocktails and extended hours so residents can enjoy a night out without leaving Aurora.

🧾The menu focuses on soul food with a twist, featuring standout dishes like Southern-style fried catfish with their signature seasoning, marinated and grilled lamb chops, Cajun chicken alfredo, crispy fried wings, seasoned salmon chunks and fried green tomatoes. The Browns, who previously ran a jerk chicken catering business, say their goal is to bring bold flavor and a fun atmosphere to the riverfront while encouraging people to stay and dine in Aurora. With outdoor seating along the Fox River, music, DJs and live brunch entertainment planned, Vibez on the River aims to become a new go-to spot for great food, drinks and good energy downtown.

Hello family, friends and supporters,

We are 4 days away for the 9th year of the Future Superstars All-Star Classic. We have put together some fun, exciting and competitive games over the years. We have had some of the best talent in the State of Illinois come out to perform. Our goal has always been to bring community, family, friends and fans out for a day to celebrate our Seniors and the up and coming new core of high school student-athletes.

We are making one last push to raise $1,7000. The Classic is ran off donations of sponsors, family, friends and supporters. The donations we are asking for will be used for expenses like gym rental, concessions. Insurance and security.

We have 3-4 of our 16 roster spots open currently.

We will have 2 teams at this age level. Our National Team will be our top team with our District Team traveling the same schedule, just playing a little lower competition.
