Weather is beautiful today! The perfect day to get a good practice in for our Lady Peake Fastpitch teams! We’ll see our 8u, 10u & 14u ladies from 2-8 today getting a good workout in.

Our ladies wrapped up our first tournament of the season today. All 3 divisions competed really well all weekend. Made some really good defensive plays & had some excellent at bats.

This weekend was merely about seeing where us coaches need to attack the skills, development and in game defense. We go to work now with these ladies & begin breaking down things at a fundamental level & look forward to stacking good practice days to have great outcomes throughout our tournament schedule!

Big shoutout to our Peake families for supporting these ladies, us coaches & cheering for each of these athletes!!

Our ladies competed yesterday in pool play!

8u dropped both games, played hard the first game getting edged out 12-7

10u took an early 5-0 lead but couldn’t hold on, lost to a well coached Ducks team 10-5

14u dropped both pool games 8-4 & 1-0. Defense played pretty good

More importantly than scores they are playing in a tournament with 1 practice under their belts. Learning inning by inning, one pitch at a time. Identifying where we need to improve and we’ll do just that!! We have maybe a handful of ladies with any travel softball experience & despite the lack of experience, they’re competing hard!

Mother Nature may have took away the last 40 minutes in our 8u practice, but our first practices 8u-10u-14u are in the books & the girls did very good!

We will be looking at the following positions over the next week!

8u 1-2 players
10u- looking for a pitcher with experience
14u- Utility player/pitcher with experience
