Equine Training & Sales Internship Opportunity

Located in Chesapeake, OH

Looking for a motivated, hardworking intern to join a busy training and sales program! This is a great opportunity for someone wanting hands-on experience in the horse industry with exposure to training, showing, sales, and daily barn management.

Responsibilities may include:
• Grooming and horse care
• Feeding, turnout, mucking, wrapping, etc.
• Tacking/untacking and assisting with rides
• Helping with lessons, training horses, and sales horses
• Traveling to horse shows and schooling outings
• General barn organization and upkeep
• Social media/content help optional but appreciated

Ideal candidate:
• Horse experience preferred
• Comfortable handling fit horses
• Reliable, positive, and eager to learn
• Strong work ethic and team mentality
• Interest in eventing, dressage, or sales is a plus

What you’ll gain:

It was a great weekend at Winfield Riding Club for the Milridge Farm Dressage and CT show! A huge thank you to Robyn Munson for putting it on! Many of the horses we brought were new to showing, so it was a great outing for them to get experience and many produced great results!

Looking for someone reliable and hardworking. This is a mix of working student and barn help/chores with opportunity to be part of a consistent program and learn from quality horses. This is a dressage and event barn. We are willing to teach/help train.

Daily tasks include feeding, turnout, stalls, and occasionally helping with vet/farrier in addition to assisting trainer with her horses

Must be 18+, have transportation, and horse experience

Barn help Tuesdays-Thursdays in Chesapeake, OH

Includes:
Feeding hay and grain, turning in and out, stall cleaning, and sometimes holding horses for vet and farrier

Candidate must:
Be 18+ years old
Have reliable transportation
Have horse experience

Ideally looking for both AM and PM help
AM starts at 8am and roughly lasts 2.5-3 hours
PM starts at 4pm and roughly lasts 1-1.5 hours
Candidate can also assist eventing and dressage trainer with her small program in between barn chores

Grace Ambrose Eventing operates out of Saddle Ridge Farm, which offers both an indoor and outdoor arena as well as a stadium jump course.
