A sunset is coming as the Lord pivots me in this season. And as much as I love sunsets, this is a tough pivot for me, away from something I dearly love.

On August 18th, during my daily business meeting with the Lord, He said clearly:

It is time to say goodbye to the podcast.

I gasped. Audibly.

Even Rory, our Bernedoodle, looked up at me from his chew toy.

I immediately asked all the questions — when, how, what does this mean, what about the people who help me with it and those who listen loyally?

The Lord answered each one, gently but clearly.

He reminded me that He is the one who provides for every person connected to this work and those who listen.

He is not caught off guard by this pivot. He planned it.

There are no coincidences:

The first episode of this podcast was published on February 19, 2019, and on August 19, 2026, He confirmed the September ending, exactly seven and a half years later. In Scripture, seven is the number of completion. God rested on the seventh day not because He was tired, but because the work was finished.

When I sat with that, I stopped gasping and asking, and started smiling.

This is not an interruption.

This is God bringing something to His designed completion.

Last December, at my strategy day with Courtney Malengo this question was posed:

If you could do anything, what would it be?

After what seemed like a minute but was probably instantaneous I said, “I would write day in and day out.”

To be fair, I was on the high of planning my book launch with Redemption Press for the book coming in February 2026 😁

And I’d been blessed to work with the publicist team at The Blythe Daniel Agency Blythe Daniel Stephanie Alton who had found me amazing opportunities to write like contributing to She Rises Studios publications and others as I prepared

So part of my strategy was asking the Lord to show me where else (and what else) I could write.

I shared that with Blythe and Stephanie while we meet up at NRB Convention and they had a brilliant idea to submit my writing to Esther Press Women
I’ve been reading their devotionals for some time and am grateful to have had two of their authors on my podcast Rebecca George | Author & Speaker Saundra Dalton-Smith M.D.

You can imagine I was in awe when Susan McPherson and her team invited me to be a devotional writer for the Fearless Faith Fridays blog. 🙌🏻🙌🏻

I was equally thrilled to meet Susan in person at The Gospel Coalition women’s conference in June!

When God won’t show you the outcome… will you still obey?

You track the numbers. You make the plan. You measure the ROI. You connect the dots.

But what happens when God asks you to move forward without showing you where it’s all going?

That’s exactly where Abram found himself in Genesis 12.
God said, “Go…”

But He didn’t give Abram the full itinerary.

Abram responded with obedience, faith, commitment, and worship.

And that’s a powerful leadership lesson for us today.

Because as Christian leaders, we’re not called to have 20/20 vision for the future.
We’re called to trust the One who does.
