Chesaning has several rivalries because our History and Tradition of football runs deep in this town. You will not get any better small town support from a community more than right here in Chesaning!

Every rivalry is special! We respect every rival game. Each rival game means just that much more.

🚨 FLINT PREP FAN FRIDAY NIGHT RIVALRY SERIES 🚨

Next up is the battle for the Old MMB Trophy between the Corunna Cavaliers and Chesaning Indians 🏈🏆

After a 9-year hiatus, the rivalry returned last season with Corunna picking up the victory and extending its current winning streak to 3 games.

📊 Series History:
🔹 The all-time series is tied 30-30-3
🔹 Corunna has won the last 3 meetings

Now in different conferences, Corunna competes in the Flint Metro League while Chesaning battles in the MMAC. But before that, these programs were longtime conference rivals in both the Central Michigan C Conference and Mid-Michigan B Conference.

Separated by just 15 miles, this rivalry remains one of the area’s most evenly matched battles.

There is a date change for our Youth Football Camp. This is because of the conflicting schedule with baseball tournaments, other Youth Camps, and the repairs to the track.

Please see graphic attached for correct days and times! If you already signed up that is okay we will use the same sign for registration.

Next up is a small-school rivalry packed with championship history — the Chesaning Indians vs. Montrose Rams 🏈🔥

This lower-division rivalry has featured conference champions, playoff runs, and multiple state title programs over the years and they are separated by just 14 miles.

📊 Series History:
🔹 Montrose leads the series 20-11
🔹 Montrose won the matchup in 2025
🔹 Chesaning won in 2024 and 2023
🔹 Each team won the MMAC conference title in those seasons

🏆 State Championship History:
🔹 Chesaning State Titles: 1998 & 2001
🔹 Montrose State Titles: 1998 & 2002

When these two programs meet, there’s always plenty of pride and tradition on the line.
