Last Friday, our girls travelled down to Triangle Bowling Alley in Longview to compete in Districts. This was a tough day and the girls battled hard till the very end.

Although they didn't make it to State as a team, three of our girls moved on as individuals! Congrats to Allie, Mac, and Sable for moving on to State! These girls will compete Monday the 9th at Bowlero Lanes in Tukwila.

Congratulations to these young Bearcats for finishing 2nd in the Tower Classic this weekend at Tower Lanes in Tacoma. The tournament featured 11 other bowling teams, all at least 3A or 4A classifications. Not only were the Bearcats the smallest school butbut easily the youngest with 2 juniors, 5 sophomores and 1 freshman. Freshman Sable Bunker finished 10th in the individual portion of tournament followed by Junior Julianna Gonzalez who finished 11th.

Last night was an awesome battle between the Bearcats and Warriors for first place in league with the Bearcats coming out on top with the total pin count being 2137-1986.

Rochester put up a good fight. Senior Natalie Southard of Rochester had high series for the night with a 398 series for an
average of 199.

The Bearcats were led by Freshman Sable Bunker who averaged 186, Julianna Gonzalez averaging 181, and Allie Smitherman averaging 182. Smitherman capped things off with a huge 233 for her second game.

It was a very fun and energetic match with a large crowd. The Bearcats will be off to Elma Thursday to play Aberdeen.

Go Cats!🐾❤️

When our bowling team began 8 years ago, virtually every girl we had was a beginner..we wanted to be a great bowling team as quickly as possible. We thought outside the box. Most learned to bowl the traditional way with success (2 2A State Championships so far) but one of the girls struggled more than others. Brianna was a great athlete but the traditional way just didn't work so we ask her if she would consider bowling with two hands. This is not easy but it is explosive, producing strikes that are almost scary. Our assistant coach Brianna was that girl. Now she is a teacher at Chehalis Middle school and she is developing a whole team of two-handers that that can throw those same powerful strikes as their coach. Pictured is what we call the Bearcat Bomb Squadron. Allie, Kenley, Willow, Avery, and Karley. Two juniors, two sophomores, and a freshman. Watch the future of these girls as they begin throwing the same explosive strikes as their coach.
Go Bearcats!!!!
