We came back to our Sister Schools container to ready it for inspection & sailing. We found that last week's wind storm blew water in through the seal and ruined at least 36 boxes of books and paper in container #2. Tomorrow, we open container #1 to inspect the damage.
Pencils & crayon could be separated from their cardboard packaging & dryed. But, the books & paper went to the dump. It's heartbreaking.

Here we are, pulling out the water damaged school supplies and my great 3rd cousin, Jean Craighead George's book survive...

2022 BOOKS 1) Merle's Door is a wonderful book about a wonderful relationship between man & dog. 2) City Of A Thousand Gates was on the sale table for $1.00. I bought it because I love the cover art & thought it would make lovely quilt😁. 3) Gary Sinise's book was inspiring & made me feel like a grateful American too. 4) Pearl Harbor was tough. I visited the Memorial many times growing up in Aiea. I had neighbors who had lived through the attack & talked about that day. 5) Jean Craighead George was my Grandfather's cousin. She wrote over 100 books & this is the first one I've read.
