Raiders 18U Impressive In Win Against Cheektowaga 1

Raiders 18U won big over Cheektowaga 1 11-3 on Thursday.

Cheektowaga 1 opened the scoring in the first after Adriana tripled, scoring two runs.

Cheektowaga 1 added one run in the second. Kirra stole home, making the score 3-1.

Raiders 18U jumped into the lead in the bottom of the second when a steal of home scored one run, and Nora White singled, scoring two runs.

Raiders 18U scored two runs in the bottom of the third on an inside the park home run by Kimberly Vargas.

Raiders 18U scored five runs on two hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Sophia Hernandez singled, scoring one run, Aubrie Maggiore singled, scoring two runs, Nora White drew a walk, scoring one run, and a steal of home scored one run.

Olivia Milligan stepped in the circle first for Raiders 18U. The hurler surrendered one hit and two runs (one earned) over one inning, striking out one and walking one. Savannah opened the game for Cheektowaga 1. The pitcher surrendered six hits and 11 runs over three and one-third innings, striking out eight and walking six. Cassie Smith, Raelyne Fitch, and Nora White each came on in relief for Raiders 18U and shutdown Cheektowaga 1.

Cassie Smith, Aubrie Maggiore, Kimberly Vargas, Sherlyn Vargas, Sophia Hernandez, and Nora White each collected one hit for Raiders 18U. Aubrie Maggiore and Kimberly Vargas each drove in two runs for Raiders 18U. Ziabella Cordero led Raiders 18U with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, amassing six walks for the game. Brianna Tober, Cassie Smith, Aubrie Maggiore, Sherlyn Vargas, Sophia Hernandez, Ziabella Cordero, and Nora White each stole multiple bases for Raiders 18U. Raiders 18U stole 24 bases in the game.

Adriana went 1-for-2 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Cheektowaga 1 had a strong eye at the plate, collecting five walks for the game. Malania and Nisa led the team with two free passes each. Nisa and Samantha each stole multiple bases for Cheektowaga 1. Cheektowaga 1 stole seven bases in the game.

Next up for Raiders 18U is a game at Usssa NY Pride Sapphire 14U on Saturday.
