𝔗𝔥𝔦𝔰 𝔰𝔱𝔲𝔣𝔣 𝔱𝔞𝔨𝔢𝔰 𝔱𝔦𝔪𝔢...
And I went to work after 3rd call out at universe in late 2020 to make sure we came back better. There is no doubt we accomplished the goal.

𝔓𝔯𝔬𝔤𝔯𝔢𝔰𝔰 𝔦𝔰 𝔱𝔥𝔢 𝔫𝔞𝔪𝔢 𝔬𝔣 𝔱𝔥𝔢 𝔤𝔞𝔪𝔢... we moved up into 2nd call outs at and I am both happy and proud with the progress we have made. We aren't quite done yet, the push is real and she definitely knows how to disappear and get to work.

ℌ𝔬𝔴 𝔶𝔬𝔲 𝔥𝔞𝔫𝔡𝔩𝔢 𝔱𝔥𝔢 𝔩𝔬𝔴𝔰 𝔰𝔞𝔶𝔰 𝔱𝔥𝔢 𝔪𝔬𝔰𝔱... the most impressive thing about Victoria is always her attitude. She handles everything the same, with euphemism, positivity, and always looking to get better. When I say she is just wonderful to coach, this is a big part of the why.

Remember that we all "lose" and that how we handle the losses will always say more about us than how we handle the wins. Keep your chin up, get back to work, and come back better.

Proud AF ....always.

Overcoming obstacles isn't easy, having a flight canceled. Having to fly in and drive hours to get where you need to be and getting there at 530am. Yeah those are some real obstacles.

I am.so proud of you, you dealt with everything I threw at you and then everything the world threw at you. You still showed up like a champ.

Pros do pro s**t long before they ever step on stage and long before they ever get their pro cards.

Congrats on second place friend. Your time is coming, of that I have no doubt.

Keep going....
roseline_ifbb took first in her class this last weekend at the amateur Olympia. Just missing her pro card but let me tell you the difference between her first show and this one. We were able to bring a tighter package which meant we could fill her out better.

Even though the first show didn’t necessarily go the way we wanted, Naomi kept working and making progress, knowing that we weren’t done.

Now comes the easy part, working food up and cardio down as we continue to work towards the goals we have set together.
Being able to coach competitors hallway across the world is an amazing experience, I can’t wait to have to opportunity to come coach halfway across the world in person!

𝙁𝙐𝙇𝙇𝙉𝙀𝙎𝙎 !!!

𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙙𝙤𝙚𝙨 𝙛𝙪𝙡𝙡 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣 𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙣... fullness is referring to how the muscle looks, typically meaning the there is enough muscle there and that it has its glycogen stores nice and full. This picture is a great depection of how that changes during a peak week.

𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙙𝙤 𝙬𝙚 𝙜𝙚𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙠𝙚𝙚𝙥 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙪𝙡𝙡𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨?

𝘿𝙤𝙣'𝙩 𝙘𝙪𝙩 𝙬𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧.... all glycogen needs water to be stored within the muscle cell. 1g of glycogen is stores with 2.7g of water. Which means drinking water WHILE you're adding in carbohydrates.

𝘽𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙞𝙤 𝙙𝙤𝙬𝙣... this will allow for the extra energy to be stored by changing energy balance but also it will hell to drop some of the inflammation that can often make us look less detailed.

𝙍𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧 𝙨𝙤𝙙𝙞𝙪𝙢 𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨.... sodium is important for blood volume. That means getting a pump and that also means getting nutrient delivered to the muscles. It's also important for healthy muscle function so keeping sodium stable is a must.

𝙁𝙚𝙚𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪'𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙡𝙚𝙩𝙚... and of course the carbs. You can't fill out glycogen without glucose. Be smart but remember just like any other athlete we have to eat in a manner to fuel our sport. For us as bodybuilders that means eating enough to fill out!

𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝑷𝒉𝒚𝒔𝒊𝒒𝒖𝒆 𝑬𝒙𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆... always an amazing weekend and I continue to be blessed enough to be a part of it. This year not only presenting to our coaches but to all the participants.

𝑰 𝒔𝒖𝒄𝒌 𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒑𝒊𝒄𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆𝒔, 𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕... I got a lot of pictures with people but all on other people's phones so here are the very few I have with

Being able to see the athletes who trust me in person, help them learn in and out of the gym and spend time with them is one of the best parts of my life.

𝑳𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆... I did a thing yesterday, I won my weight class and got second in the absolute division at my second tournament. As we were going there I got caught up in my feelings, I used to just dream about this kind of thing.

𝑭𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒘 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒑𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔... it doesn't mean you need to be great, when you truly love something simply doing it brings fulfillment. Honestly regardless of the outcome, if you love what you're doing, it's worth it. Because you're able to live your life in ways that are meaningful to YOU.

𝑰 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒍𝒐𝒔𝒕 𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏 𝑰'𝒗𝒆 𝒘𝒐𝒏... THIS IS IN ALL THINGS. This was a win for me, but built on years of getting beat up in the gym. And just like any other competition, it's just who shows up that day really. So be ready to be humbled, it's easier if you stay humble from the get go.

𝑭𝒊𝒏𝒅 𝒋𝒐𝒚 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒋𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒏𝒆𝒚... don't feel like you need to always let everyone know everything. In this age of social media, we set ourselves up for harder times by placing expectations on the outcome of things. Love the process. Do your s**t. Don't always feel the need to tell everyone what you're doing. Go out there and do it. Actions and results will always speak the loudest

And lastly thank you to all my training partners and my coaches for making me better day in and day out. I appreciate all of yall, cause I know I be farting and running my mouth 🤣

𝙄𝙨 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙏𝙝𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙖 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜..? I think it should be because these pictures are wild to me.

𝙎𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙥𝙝𝙮𝙨𝙞𝙦𝙪𝙚 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙚... she reached out to me to help make sure she was as competitive as possible in the time allotted, I would say we accomplished that goal because holy crap did we make some changes.

𝙊𝙣 𝙩𝙤𝙥 𝙤𝙛 𝙗𝙚𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖 𝙢𝙤𝙢... yeah that's right. She still handled all the duties of being a full time mom. Making sure that her family was taken care of and got the attention and care they need and deserve.

𝙊𝙣 𝙩𝙤𝙥 𝙤𝙛 𝙗𝙚𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙙𝙪𝙩𝙮... oh yeah that too, serving the country and fulfilling her duties in all her work as well, this also entails a lot of travel for her. Again, structure and a plan were paramount and making sure we had the lifestyle changes down.

𝙃𝙖𝙧𝙙 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙙𝙚𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙖 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙡 𝙤𝙛 𝙖 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜... these will take you a long way and there is zero doubt shannon is a prime example of what these can do for someone. However the structure, life change and habit formation we got to institute I think carry us from good to great. I was so pleased to be able to take a flexible approach, include diet breaks, refeeds and still show we can reach the goals we have in a better way.

𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙔𝙊𝙐 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚 𝙞𝙣 90 𝙙𝙖𝙮𝙨? Keep an eye out because this won't be our last transformation challenge but know this. You are capable of amazing things!!!

𝙎𝙩𝙤𝙥 𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙛𝙖𝙧 𝙮𝙤𝙪'𝙫𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚... too often I see us fail to realize how monumentally successful they have been through their endeavors.

𝘽𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙮 𝙝𝙖𝙨 𝙢𝙖𝙙𝙚 𝙖 𝙩𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨... we hadn't even planned on doing a show, but she decided that it was about time to start a family and wanted to push to make it happen before she knew that other priorities would take over.

𝙎𝙝𝙚 𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙠𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙨𝙝𝙚'𝙨 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙠𝙚𝙙... no doubt about it, we beat her prior packages and made huge improvements all around.

𝘼𝙣𝙙 𝙬𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙙𝙞𝙙𝙣'𝙩 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚... this is the hardest part. We don't control every aspect and no matter how well we prepare it doesn't always work out in our favor.

𝙍𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧, 𝙬𝙚 𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙪𝙘𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨 𝙬𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙡... we don't control judges, we don't control who shows up. We control how hard we work, we control how well we plan and prepare. It's important to not allow a single days experience to drown out months and years of successes.

I am always proud of my people, this stuff isn't easy. Brittany, you did wonderfully and again, I am extremely proud of all your hard work and progress. Remember all of you out there, your worth is inherent, so regardless make sure you're damn proud of yourselves and not letting all your successes be forgotten.

𝙁𝙞𝙩𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙞𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙀𝙑𝙀𝙍𝙔𝙊𝙉𝙀 !!!!

𝙄 𝙙𝙞𝙙𝙣'𝙩 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙚... it took me a long time, I had to figure out what I enjoyed doing and focus on that for years to get to where I am today.

𝙄 𝙘𝙖𝙢𝙚 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙖 𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙤𝙛 𝙫𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙤 𝙜𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙨... I wasn't active, I was 18 years old, 5 10 and 140lbs when I left hight school. I wouldn't have been considered to have great genetics by any means. I was more interested in playing world of War craft.

𝙄 𝙙𝙞𝙙𝙣'𝙩 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙡 𝙢𝙮 𝙢𝙞𝙙 20𝙨... I got out of a relationship and realized I didn't like how I looked and I had just started community College so I was choosing to invest in myself. I've seen people start much later than me and still find great successes.

𝙄 𝙣𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙢𝙮𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛 𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙡𝙚𝙩𝙚... I didn't play sports. I had terrible coordination and was definitely not interested in the gym bro vibe. I did however really want a space for the gym where people like me could be accepted and comfortable.

𝘼𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙄 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙨... I had a friend invite me to start working out with him. I took him up on that and started at planet fitness where I felt comfortable and made sure I was.havjng fun with the process.

𝘼𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙢𝙮 𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙧𝙚 𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙙... everything. I found put how great it felt to feel good about what my body could do. I felt great about being accountable to myself, not just in the gym but in life. I learned how to prioritize making myself a better person both physically and psychologically and everything got better from there.

So my point is this, the gym is for you, the gym is for me, for mom, grandpa, the gym can be a place for everyone. Sometimes it's just about finding the right place, sometimes it's about just giving people a chance. But don't sell yourself short and think you don't have a place in here right next to all the rest of us.

𝑾𝒆'𝒗𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝒅𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒂 𝒘𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒆 𝒏𝒐𝒘... and the more I get do be a coach, the more I realize there are some base truths across the board.

𝑰'𝒗𝒆 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒆𝒅 𝒂 𝒍𝒐𝒕 𝒔𝒐 𝒇𝒂𝒓, 𝑰'𝒍𝒍 𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒏 𝒂 𝒍𝒐𝒕 𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒆... this one seems straight forward but it's not always. It can be tough when you're busy or things are going well, but always be OK with being wrong and learning.

𝑷𝒆𝒐𝒑𝒍𝒆 𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒎𝒐𝒔𝒕... this never changes. These amazing people put food on your table and a roof over your head. Each one has their own story, their own reasons, and their on eccentricities. If nothing else, treat people right.

𝑭𝒐𝒄𝒖𝒔 𝒐𝒏 𝒃𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒊𝒏 𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒉 𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒅𝒖𝒂𝒍... this goes hand In hand with the last point. We all have different strengths talent and gifts. Just like we all have different life situations. A great coach focuses on bringing out the best for each individual. Which will be different for everyone, and regardless should be something we celebrate.

𝑩𝒆 𝒉𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒕, 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒍𝒆𝒕𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒇... you have to be honest with yourself to be honest with others. But your honesty is another part of treating people right. As a coach it's not your job to only tell people what they want to hear. Rather to tell them what they need to hear to bring out their best and set realistic expectations.

𝑰𝒇 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒊𝒕 𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒆𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒆 𝒂 𝒈𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕 𝒄𝒐𝒂𝒄𝒉... care.... a lot. Any of us who've stepped on stage know the sacrifices we make in getting there. Care about your people, care about the dieting and hunger, care about the hours of cardio and in the gym. Care about the sacrifices they put into this process. Caring about your people will force you to continue to improve and get better.

𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑫𝒐𝒆𝒔 𝑺𝒖𝒄𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝑳𝒐𝒐𝒌 𝑳𝒊𝒌𝒆? In bodybuilding it's a question we each should work to answer for ourselves, particularly because so much in the sport is out of our control. Jennifer's successes shined before we ever met and this picture makes that very evident.

𝑳𝒊𝒇𝒆 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒆 𝒊𝒔 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒎𝒐𝒔𝒕... if there is anything I've learned, it's that my relationship with bodybuilding is best when it's about constantly focused on simple self improvement. Jennifer here is a shining example of what this means. Her and I have only been working together a little less than a year but she had already accomplished an amazing feat before we ever met.

𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒈𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕, 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒊𝒔... often times this idea is lost and can really take away from what should be a huge positive. We unfortunately don't control who else shows up, their muscle, their conditioning or genetics etc. All we can do is put in the work to bring our own best. All too often we get discouraged by a placement, forgetting how much progress we have made ourselves.

𝑹𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒎𝒃𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒗𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒐𝒇 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒔𝒖𝒄𝒄𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒊𝒔 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒂𝒎𝒆 𝒂𝒔 𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒔... I want to congratulate Jennifer on her placings, first in bikini novice, 3rd In open and 4th in masters. Big successes In and of themselves but nothing in comparison to the progress you've made off the stage and in life.

I am proud to be able to work with such amazing individuals, and I am proud as hell of all your successes.
