Coming off of hearing a middle school coach tell a bunch of 6th and 7th grade players that they “played like crap” and that “if they aren’t mad at themselves they should just walk away from the game”, I just want to every single young player out there to know that they shouldn’t let poor coaches have that power over them!

No coach should ever encourage a young player to walk away from the game. Ever. Here’s an idea, try actually coaching them!! Help them improve. Encourage and support them to grow, and develop, and blossom.

So, here’s the the latest bloomers like Ben Zobrist that stuck it out and kept playing one more game of baseball! ⚾️❤️

The Pigs had a great night with Coach Ballgame last night as he visited Chattanooga on his National Sandlot tour! What a fantastic evening of baseball, camaraderie, and joy! ⚾️💙

The Chattanooga Flying Pigs 13U are looking to add two players to our roster for the fall! Our boys are current 7th graders with 2012/2013 birth years that are playing up this fall in 13U to prep for a strong competitive spring season. Our first open practice tryout will be held on Monday, Sept 22nd at Camp Jordan from 6:00-7:30. Please RSVP to Coach Andy if you would like to join us.

Flying Pigs Travel Ball is a national travel organization in conjunction with Coach Ballgame. We are looking for families and players that are committed to growing a team that is based around good sportsmanship and supportive teammates/coaches to keep baseball fun, while also building strong skills and playing to win!

Proud of these Pigs for battling their way into the championship game yesterday for our last tournament of the spring/summer season! Our roster performed top to bottom showing out all the hard work they’ve put in this year!

They played three games back-to-back-to-back on Sunday and came away Runners Up to a very stout 13U team in the end. But they earned every bit of this hardware!

Way to fly PIGS! 🪽🐖⚾️💙
