I was made aware yesterday that my add on Garmin Alpha 100 screen repair had been modified at times to say that a Garmin Alpha 100 could be traded for Garmin Alpha 200 for $140. That is an error by the AI that modified my post. I will do my best to post it again without AI interference. I apologize for those who may have thought that was a correct posting. Naturally, you would never be able to trade an Alpha 100 for a Alpha 200 for $140 but I understand folks asking about that posting. I make enough errors without AI helping me so I'll try my best to turn that off in the future. I will gladly replace your 200(i) screen for $140 but can't sell you one for that. My apologies once again for any confusion.

I had an Alpha 300 come in yesterday that mysteriously stopped tracking in the field. I have heard of several folks having this happen. This is happening to 300 and 200 series units with older software. It is not a hardware issue, you just need to update your software. You can do this with Garmin Express. https://www.garmin.com/en-US/software/express/windows/

Also, you can set your unit up to download software on wifi in your home or other location with wifi. https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=DPUoJCCUs51So55gD2Rgc8

Lastly, you need to set up your unit for Multi-GNSS for best satellite reception: Setup > System > Satellite > Satellite System and select Multi-GNSS

Use Garmin Express to update maps and software and sync with Garmin Connect. It notifies you when updates are available and helps you install them.

Sadly, we are announcing that we will no longer be taking Garmin TT15 (regular and Mini) or T5 as trade-ins in our Latest and Greatest Trade In program. Garmin is beginning to limit their support of these units. They have been great collars and many units will continue to be of service to our customers for a long time. We do still have a few of both the TT15 and T5 and we will sell our inventory and stand behind it. Like any product line, there comes a time to move on to the latest technology. We will still take TT15X and T5X collars as trade in, as long as Garmin is still actively serving these units. I have been so thankful for the customers who have allowed me to repair their Garmins over the last few months. I specialize in the replacement of the Garmin Alpha 100 screens, but I have been able to do several repairs on handhelds and give them new life. In addition to screen replacements I have:
- Replaced broken screens in Alpha 200(i) units
- Replaced damaged plastic casings on Alpha 100s. (especially needed when the rubber power button has been damaged)
- Replaced damaged charging ports on both the Alpha 100 and 200(i)
- Replaced damaged antenna ports on both Alpha 100 and Alpha 200 units.

* A word about collars. While I have done some work on collars, like TT15s that won’t track, it is NOT my specialty. I find that the Garmin rebuild program on such units is a pretty good option. Parts and labor on TT15s and TT15 minis is so high that it is oftentimes better to just upgrade to the latest TT25 or TT20, that we stock on our site.
