Today I hiked from Russ Anderson Rd to Apple Pie Hill on the Batona. Met Jack there. He hiked out on Batona I think, I hiked a Blue Blaze that took me down White Horse Rd to Pine Crest on the RR tracks There was a sanitarium and a water bottling plant there early 1900's. Couldn't find foundations. Hiked back to Batona. Tried a shortcut. Ended up a longcut. Doubled back and found pink trail. All in all a good day. Happy Easter.

Past weekend I hiked the Southern Section of Franklin Parker Preserve. Hiked Red trail first. About 6 miles. Then drive to other end and hiked Yellow trail. Weather was nice. Normally don't see anyone starting at 7 am. Blister on bad foots heel, but no pain inside foot. New shoes were probably not broken in enough for 11 miles.

Been 11 years since I hiked Franklin Parker Preserve. A birth defect got worse in foot and had to have constructive surgery. Then toes redone. Then therapy and orthotics, but at it again. This was the Batona Trail section.
