1. Our JV Game tomorrow night now kicks off at 7:00 pm. We will be home vs Tunstall
2. Players Hydrate Hydrate Hydrate! Water tonight and in the morning Sports drink prior to activity, and chocolate milk with a good meal after activity!!

Reminder it is going to be HOT this week! Players need to continue to hydrate in preparation for games on Thursday and Friday. In order to help with this we are asking anyone, who is interested, to either donate Gatorade, Gatorade powder, or bananas for the effort of preventing cramps this week! You can either drop a donation off at the school or message Coach Allen at 434-607-2295 to inquire about a cash donation. Our community has been so great in helping us stay hydrated thus far this year and we thank you in advance!

Other notes:
Players need to bring tennis shoes and shorts each day. Hydration will be extremely important this week! Start now!

Tomorrow: Cheer is hosting an ice cream social following practice. Due to this we will not have leadership council.

Safe to say Friday Night had us pretty excited in Tight Squeeze! Thank you to our fans for showing up and bringing the energy on Youth Night! Couple of key stats on the evening

🏈 Dougie Cooper have yourself a ball game! In on 15 tackles on defense. 2 fumble recoveries as well. On the offensive side of the ball he had 19 touches for 150 all purpose yards and 2 Touchdowns
🏈King Noah was the leading receiver on the night with 2 catches for 34 yards and 1 TD
🏈 Sophomore Austin Soyars was an efficient 6/9 passing to 5 different targets for 73 yards
🏈 Colin Soyars and AJ Dodson tied for the team lead with each being in on 3 Tackles for Loss on an impressive night for the Cavalier Defense
🏈Rye Kendig booted a 36 yard field goal and was 2/2 on extra points for the night to help turn the special teams battle in the Cavs favor

This week’s honoree is none other than Mandy Riley! ❤️🖤

A longtime Cavalier mom, Mrs. Riley has been a key cog in the machine that makes Chatham Football—and Chatham High School as a whole—successful. Her dedication, support, and willingness to serve others make a tremendous impact on our Cavaliers every day.

Congrats to our JV Cavs! After giving up the second half kickoff to go down 19-6 they outscored the Eagles 22-0 in the second half to take home a 28-19 victory. Hats off to that offensive line for opening up some big holes for Je’Won Roberts, Hayden Weaver, Alec Sheppard, and Ben Kelly to run through for 3 touchdowns on the ground plus some other big runs!

Major highlights
Monday: Picture Day and Practice 3:30-6:30!
Wednesday: JV Game at Prince Edward at 6:00. Varsity Practice 3:30-6:00
Thursday: Full program practice 3:30-5:45 (this is later than a typical Thursday do to some pregame preparations we have for the first home game)
Friday: Varsity football vs Prince Edward at 7:00!

We will have dress lists for both games posted in the locker room tomorrow! are excited for Week One!
