Highlights:
Hazel B struck out 11 batters as the southpaw led Charlton Wildfire 12U past Tanner Pride 12U 3-1 on Friday evening at Allen Field. Hazel allowed seven hits and one run over seven innings.
Charlton Wildfire 12U opened the scoring in the fourth after a passed ball scored one run.
In the bottom of the fifth inning, Charlton Wildfire 12U went back into the lead after Charlton Wildfire 12U scored on a wild pitch, and Ella D singled down the right field line, each scoring one run. Kaylee L and Allison G each collected two hits. Ella went 1-for-2 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Charlton turned one double play in the game. Wildfire were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Gwen P made the most plays with 12.
Today, the girls won against MWS Devils with a 10-1 score.
Charlton Wildfire 12U got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Hazel B singled to the left side of the infield, , Caroline H singled to the left side of the infield.
A single by Gwen P extended the Charlton Wildfire 12U lead to 6-0 in the bottom of the third inning.
Caroline earned the win for Wildfire 12U. The pitcher allowed four hits and one run (zero earned) over five innings, striking out six and walking one.
Kaylee L went 1-for-2 at the plate and led the team with three runs batted in. Gwen went 2-for-2 at the plate and stole two bases.
In their third game,
Hazel didn't allow a single run as they defeated Mass Hurricanes - Holt 12U 7-0.
Emma C collected three hits in three at bats in the win. Emma hit a solo home run to right field in the first inning, singled in the sixth inning, and singled in the fourth inning.
