During the trip there will be daily visits to support local groups that help people with disabilities. We partake in daily events such as wheelchair basketball, dances, and puppet shows. One hundred Pi Kappa Phi brothers from around the country will participate in the Journey. The reason that I have decided to dedicate my summer to this event is because of the great service involvement and the uni
que experience that comes with the Journey of Hope. Since middle school I have participated in service activities including serving food at a soup kitchen, helping out with Special Olympics events, and teaching inner city children baseball as a way to keep them off the streets and out of trouble during the summer months. I see the Journey of Hope as a way to continue to serve those in need. The Journey of Hope also gives me a once in a lifetime travel experience because I will be able to see much of the country via bicycle! Donating to the Cause
Pi Kappa Phi is the only fraternity to own and operate its own national philanthropy. This means that instead of donating funds to outside agencies that assist others in need, we have an active involvement with Push America and help decide exactly where our time and funds go. I have pledged to raise $5,500 towards this effort, and ask that you please consider making a donation. The money that you donate will go to help thousands of people with disabilities and their families around the country. In addition, I have pledged to donate 10% of every paycheck that I earn to this worthy cause. In order to donate please visit the following website:

Thank you for your support!
