It's not easy. There are bumps along the way, mountains to climb, rivers to cross. You can give it all you got but eventually adversity will find you. Be it baseball or life, it's all the same. That's why I love the game.
There have been empires that ruled the world only to crumble. Greed, deceit, selfishness and poor leadership are common themes in the demise of these once great nations. Somewhere along the way, the vision was lost and the goals changed. But not here my friends. Not at DUBS. Creating bonds and relationships with players that builds trust to enhance there abilities on the field and give them confidence in the game of life is what we do here and that will never change.
I'll leave you with some advice. When dirt is thrown your way, don't worry. I got shovels. When shade is cast on you, stand in it and you won't get burned. If you get the cold shoulder, be warm enough to keep it from freezing. When you get caught up in the storm, remember rain water washes away dirt too. Lastly but not least, if you a betting man don't bet against me. DUBS Baseball.
