What Is JKD Grappling?
When I asked Sifu Larry Hartsell this question in 1974 he gave a direct and simple answer - Checkmate!
The goal in any conflict is to find a resolution using any and all means. The "truth" of reality will set you free to express yourself moment to moment in the crucible of life or death. The three important aspects of fighting are: speed, power and deceptiveness. Ownership (mastery) of your skill sets allows for creativity in the pursuit of Endgame. The word Endgame refers to the final move of the game of Chess before Checkmate.
