⚽ Welcome Matt Spear to Fox Soccer Academy Carolinas! ⚽
We are proud to announce that Matt Spear is joining the Fox Soccer Academy Carolinas family.
Matt brings decades of experience and leadership at every level of the game. A captain on Davidson College’s historic NCAA Division I Final Four team, he went on to spend 18 years as Head Men’s Soccer Coach at Davidson, earning national recognition and helping develop countless players and coaches. His accomplishments include being a finalist for National Coach of the Year, recording 10 victories over ACC opponents, and mentoring 10 assistant coaches who later became NCAA head coaches themselves.
Matt’s impact extends far beyond the college game. He holds a US Soccer “A” License, served as President of the Richmond Kickers professional club, and has founded and co-founded several influential soccer organizations, including Love United FC, Charlottetowne Hops FC, and Soccer Resilience. Throughout his career, he has contributed to the growth of the game through organizations such as Charlotte FC, Charlotte Independence, Charlotte Soccer Academy, NC Fusion, United Soccer Coaches, and many others.
