To the constituents of East Charlotte, particularly the residents of Shannon Park,
Today, we mourn the tragic loss of three brave police officers in our community. Their sacrifice serves as a stark reminder of the urgent need to address the scourge of gun violence that has plagued our neighborhoods. My heartfelt condolences go out to the families and loved ones of the fallen officers, and to all those affected by this senseless act of violence. We must come together as a community to support one another and to work tirelessly towards creating safer streets for all.
