OUR KIDS NEED OUR COMMUNITY 💙🖤

Cherryville Little Ironmen Football & Cheer is more than just a sports program. For so many of our kids, this is where they get their first chance to learn teamwork, build confidence, make friends, and discover a love for sports.

Right now, a group of parents is coming together to help keep this program going. We’ve faced a real lack of funding, sponsorships, volunteers, and even basic resources like a place for our cheerleaders to practice indoors.

But we believe our kids are worth fighting for.

We’re asking our community to come alongside us—not just financially, but in whatever way you can.

💙 Businesses: Consider sponsoring our program.
🖤 Gyms & facilities: If you have space where our cheerleaders can practice, we would love to hear from you.
💙 Families: Register your kids and invite your friends. We need more players and cheerleaders!
🖤 Community members: Come to games, spread the word, volunteer, donate, or simply show these kids that their community believes in them.

We want to build a program that is welcoming, inclusive, affordable, and a place where every child feels like they belong.

We’re working hard as parents to build something our kids can be proud of—but we can’t do it alone.

We need a community willing to do something.

Let’s show these kids that their community believes in them.
Let’s give them a program they can grow with, make memories in, and be proud to call their own.

We’re happy to share that Kaytlin Slaughter has decided to join the board and is now secretary for our football and cheer program! She has her own kids in both programs and will be a great addition to the Cherryville Little Ironmen! She’s passionate about helping kids and our community.

Reminder:

First official practice is Thursday. Workout tonight is still on. I’ll have forms to fill out and start sizing boys tonight under the gazebo

I hate to do it, but due to field conditions and rain, we’ll have to cancel workouts today. We’ll be back it at tomorrow from 6-8pm. I’ll have all paperwork available for you to fill out and start sizing for helmets, pads and jerseys.

Several things as we get closer to the official start of the season, which is next Thursday:

1) we’ll have two camps next week, Monday and Tuesday. Both at Tryon park from 6-8 pm.
2) I’ll have parental and medical consent forms for each kid. I also need original birth certificate and last years report card. I’ll start collecting those on Monday.
3) registration fee this year is $100, preferably check but we can take cash.
4) first official practice is next Thursday.
5) we’ll have parent meetings next Thursday from 6:30 8pm
