2023. Let’s go.

As you think about the year ahead (or even the month ahead) what do you desire for yourself?

🌱 Professional or personal growth

🔍 Clarity of purpose

🗺️ Navigating changes in a manner that makes you proud of how you showed up

⚖️ Finding some stability

🌟 Defining and achieving a goal

💬 Showing up better in your most important relationships

💪 Living in your strengths

👑 Something else entirely

Coaching gives you a thought partner. A person on your side who can help you define the outcome you seek and move towards that outcome.

However you go about it, I sincerely wish you all the best for a wonderful year ahead, one day at a time.

All the best - Audrey

2022! Thanks for all the lessons. Much of the time it felt like a roller-coaster. Laughing, crying, nervous, laughing again.

I learned and did so much more than I knew was possible.

⭐️ Signed and supported new clients through new challenges.
⭐️ Secured two corporate contracts.
⭐️ Launched, failed and successfully re-launched a group coaching offering.
⭐️ Adapted to a reality with little structure.
⭐️ Took on a change management contract.
⭐️ Continued to volunteer in the community and worked the 2022 election.
⭐️ Continued my growth with EQ Certification.
⭐️ Tried, pivoted, tested, put myself out here.

None of these lessons would have been possible without the support of my clients, friends and family. Thank you all so much.

"Leave your mark on the world."

A few weeks ago marked the end of my third season as a Girls on the Run coach. For the end of season community impact project our team selected the design and completion of this mural. Every child at the school passes it at least once a day. I'm so proud of the impact it will make and so proud to have been part of a great organization once again.

If you are considering donating your time or money, please consider Girls on the Run.

If "a puppy" is not an acceptable answer in your household this year, may I offer some alternatives?

Check out my Gift Guide for experiential gifts that will last for years to come (and maybe even change your life for the better, not just the season.)

If you can say a puppy, lucky you, that's fantastic!!

Today I was reminded that it is okay for each of us to hold a different definition of success.

And whatever that is for you I, I say to you what my friend said to me, “You like it, I love it” for you and I hope you are wildly successful.

Stepped away from posting for a while because I’ve been in the lab… creating.

And it has been a learning experience. Not easy, but very fulfilling. I’ve been creating, editing and compiling content for my new group coaching offering. Stretching to do something new has been a great learning experience.

Some of the things I’ve learned about myself….

> I think I’ve figured out my creative process but…
> For me, creating always takes longer than I think it will
> I really enjoy researching and learning along the way (which can get me distracted)
> I’m capable of pulling together something great

How are you stretching yourself?

If you took an honest audit of your thoughts and speech, how often is your attention focused on problems and defects?

Would you be happy with what you’d find?

Perhaps it is time for a mindset shift to more often focus on possibilities and gifts. Imagine what this shift might unlock… A letting go of problem talk and embracing of new ideas and new ways of seeing things.

Not to become Pollyanna, or oblivious to what’s not going well… but to allow your thoughts and speech not be ruled by problems.

What would this shift invite into your life?

“Try it a little scared.”

I overheard this Monday night at swim class for my 5 year old. Her new instructor worked with her to put her face under water and jump in. The two parts (essential parts) of swimming things she’s most scared of. In both instances here was the exchange:

> Belle: I’m a little scared.
> Swim Coach: Sometimes you have to try it a little scared. I’m here with you.

+ Her coach didn’t dismiss her fear. She acknowledged it.
+ Her coach presented the possibility of both being scared AND moving forward.
+ Her coach gave her the room to choose for herself.

Both times Belle tried, even a little scared.

What scary thing have you been thinking about trying? What would allow you to try it ‘a little scared?’

Delegating well is a vital skill to master as a leader of people and projects.

I knew I wasn’t doing my best when my manager asked me “How many people are you going to hire to watch you work?” At the time I was a new leader, and if I’m being honest I was all in my head. Worried about what my contribution would be if I wasn’t “producing” something, worried about the quality of my instructions to my team, and struggling to let go of how the work was done.

That was nearly 8 years ago.

What advice do you carry forward?

My older daughter is scared of heights. But this weekend she broke through her own fear and with each climb she went a little bit higher.

What does this have to do with work?

With each climb she set a slightly more ambitious goal. And each time she succeeded, she enjoyed it. When she hit a snag, she shifted. Trying a different route and sometimes a different wall altogether, then returning to meet her prior goal.

Occasionally she stood back, looked at the wall and soaked in how high she went. She watched her friends, some go much higher, others struggle and she cheered them on.

It reminded me of important lessons for professionals. The importance of setting and adjusting goals, continuously improving, shifting strategy and approach when needed, soaking in success and supporting others.

p.s. Coaching for teams and individuals can help with these challenges and I’d be honored to talk about the possibilities for you and your teams. Schedule a free 30 minute coaching consultation to talk about what’s possible. https://linktr.ee/rajnakco

p.p.s. She said she is still scared of heights, but she stood taller when we went and learned something about herself, that she can do hard things.
