Slot Car Oval Racing Association Sanctioning body for 1/32 scale oval slot car racing Why 1/32? Simple. No one else is doing it.

Additionally, some of the most exciting advances in oval racing are taking place on home and club tracks, in garages and basements. Just because they aren’t commercial establishments doesn’t mean that you won’t find the best racing there. To encourage these networks to grow, there is value in having at least some standardized divisions so that as racers travel to these homes and clubs, they know w

hat kind of car to bring. The goal is to grow this network, and have regional races and championships… giving the club and home racers the recognition they deserve.

We've been getting requests for solutions to cases where the same folks always win. In the DTM series, they add weight to winners cars. We're not sure that would work with slot cars. Is anyone handicapping multiple winners, or giving advantages to drivers that never win?

As the motor market evolves, we have updated the restricted division rules to allow wider flexibility and options. Many 21k rated motors turn at least 21,500 depending on your track voltage. Some tracks use 3VDC motors rated for 5400rpm, which turn at least 21,600rpm at 12VDC. In light of this, the motor rules have been changed to allow 22,000 rpm rated motors. The motors must still be used stock and unopened.
