For the first time ever, the WVSLA Championships will be held in Charleston at UC Stadium at Laidley Field. Tickets are $8/person/day.

Saturday, May 16, 2026:
• 11 am Division 2 Girls #2 St. Albans vs. #1 Jefferson County LC
• 1:30 pm Division 2 Boys #2 Jefferson County vs. #1 Buckhannon-Upshur

2026 Class AAAA South Region Track and Field Meet

TEAMS: Buckhannon-Upshur, Cabell Midland, George Washington, Huntington, Hurricane, Oak Hill, Riverside, Parkersburg, Parkersburg South & Woodrow Wilson

Coaches’ meeting at 3:00pm.
Implement weigh-ins will begin at 2:30pm to 3:30pm
Field events will begin at 4:00pm. First Session: Boys Discus, Girls Shot Put, Boys Long Jump,
Girls High Jump and Boys Pole Vault.

Running events will begin at 4:00pm with the order of events for a two-session meet as listed in the February issue of the Interscholastic.

We will open the gate at 2:30pm for spectators.
Admission – Adults - $8 – Students - $6 as established by WVSSAC.
Only WVSSAC passes may be utilized and those individuals must sign in and may be asked for identification.

There will be a concession stand available throughout the meet. It will open at 2:30pm.

Please make sure all your team members wear their uniform or some type of attire that identify them as part of your team. This will be the easiest and most effective way for them to gain access to the venue at their arrival.

Participating Teams: Chapmanville Regional HS, Lincoln County HS, Nitro HS, Point Pleasant Sr. HS, Spring Valley HS, Saint Albans HS, Winfield HS, South Charleston HS

The Region IV Class AAA Track Meet will be held at Laidley Field on May 14, 2026.
Coaches meeting: 4:15 pm
Implement weigh-ins: 4 pm (under the interstate side bleachers)
Field events: 4:30 pm
Running events: 4:45 pm (two-session meet)

• Absolutely no chewing gum on track.
• Water only inside fence area- No soft drinks, Gatorade, or all-sport drinks.
• ¼” Spikes or less required at all times.
• Spikes are not to be worn on the football field, in the bleachers, or in the restrooms.
• Make sure athletes coming from the shot and discus area clean the mud from their shoes before entering the track.
• No glass containers.

Single Session Meet using WVSSAC one session schedule.
Entries: Unlimited Entries There will be NO relays at this meet.
Entries will be done using athletic.net and are due by 3/20 at 9pm.
Scratches are to be COMPLETED by 9am
