💙🥎 What an incredible day to be part of the Alpha family! 🥎💙

Five years ago, Alpha Academy began with just one team in Hurricane, West Virginia. This weekend, more than 13 teams, 100 families and athletes from four states came together at The Rock for the second annual Alpha Day!

But Alpha is about so much more than softball. It’s about developing athletes from within, building confidence, creating leaders and teaching our players what it means to be great teammates—both on and off the field.

From the newest 7U players taking the field to the older girls competing and mentoring the younger athletes, Alpha Day showed just how connected this organization has become. Coaches coached, families filled the sidelines and players of every age came together as one Alpha family.

One team became 13-plus. More than 100 families now call Alpha home—and we’re so proud to be one of them!

A special thank-you to Alpha Academy for bringing all of us together and providing these teams, coaches and athletes with the support and opportunities they need to grow and develop. The time, dedication and heart poured into this organization do not go unnoticed. We’re incredibly grateful to be part of something so special! 💙

🚨 Alpha Academy Fall Softball Clinic Opportunity 🚨

Fall season is right around the corner, and we’re excited to offer an opportunity for young athletes to get some extra work in before taking the field!

📅 September 6th
⏰ 12:30–3:00 PM
📍 South Charleston High School
🥎 Ages 8U–14U
💰 $50 per participant

The clinic will focus on preparing players for their upcoming fall seasons with instruction covering:

⚡ Throwing
⚡ Fielding
⚡ Baserunning
⚡ Hitting

One of the things we’re most excited about is that this clinic will be hosted by current Alpha Academy athletes! Our players will have the opportunity to work directly with younger athletes, share what they’ve learned and help the next generation continue developing their game.

🚨 NEW THREADS COMING THIS FALL 🚨

We’re excited to announce a brand-new alternate jersey coming to Alpha this fall and this one was designed by one of our very own!

After Coach Workman and his group brought home a World Series Championship to close out the summer, we decided it was only right to give him the opportunity to put his own stamp on Alpha and design a custom jersey.

Introducing the Workman White Alternate 👀

Coach Workman’s group will be the first Alpha team to take the field in the new whites and following their debut, this jersey option will become available to teams throughout the organization this fall.

Turf Wars was a HUGE success last year, and we’re expecting it to be even bigger in 2026!

Don’t get suckered into scheduling a tournament on dirt and spending the entire week watching the weather forecast. 🌧️

ALPHA ON DECK IS OPEN!

With all the new additions across our organization, we wanted to open up Alpha On Deck again and give more of our athletes the opportunity to get involved!

Alpha On Deck was created to build connections throughout our organization and give our younger athletes someone to learn from, look up to and build a relationship with beyond their own team.

Players from our 7U through 11U age groups can sign up to be paired with an older Alpha athlete as their mentor. Mentors will:

• Reach out to their player once per week
• Meet up once per month to hang out, work on softball or just spend time together
• Be someone their younger teammate can turn to for encouragement, advice and support

We’ve had huge success with this program, and watching relationships develop between players from different teams and age groups has been one of the coolest things we’ve done as an organization.

We’re also looking for more athletes who want to step into a mentor role. Players from our 13U through 16U age groups who are interested should reach out to Zach. We will also consider second-year 12U athletes as mentors on a case-by-case basis.

This program is about more than softball. It’s about leadership, confidence, friendships and continuing to build the family atmosphere that makes Alpha special.

💙 2ND ANNUAL ALPHA DAY 💙

We’re excited to bring the entire Alpha family together for our 2nd Annual Alpha Day on August 29th!

This is a day dedicated to celebrating Alpha Academy — our athletes, coaches, families, growth and the future of our organization.

We’ll kick things off at 9:00 AM with our brand-new 8U teams taking the field for a friendly scrimmage. Scrimmages will continue throughout the day, giving our different age groups an opportunity to compete while the entire organization is together.

At 12:00 PM, we’ll break for a catered organizational lunch and meeting. Zach and Jess will speak about expectations moving forward, what’s currently happening throughout Alpha Academy, and where we see the organization going in the future.

After lunch, we’ll finish the day with two scrimmages featuring our older groups.

Our footprint team, Alpha Academy 16U - Osborne, will be hosting the event. Players from the 16U team will each be paired with one of our younger Alpha teams throughout the day to help build relationships and connections across the organization.

With every Alpha team and family coming together, this is a great opportunity to meet one another, network and celebrate the family that all of us have played a part in building.

QUICK NOTES FOR FAMILIES

🔹 Please pack like you’re heading to a tournament. Canopies, chairs and coolers are highly encouraged. Seating and shade will be limited, but we will have designated areas for families to set up canopies.

🔹 Each team will be responsible for its own drinks and team cooler. Head coaches will communicate with their families to coordinate this.

🔹 The event will be catered, and we’ll also have a photographer on site capturing moments throughout Alpha Day along with action shots from the scrimmages.

🔹 We’re asking each family to contribute $15 toward the catering and photographer. Your head coach will be in contact and will collect funds from their respective team.

We can’t wait to have everyone together on August 29th to celebrate everything we’ve accomplished, the relationships we’ve built and, most importantly, the future of Alpha Academy.

This organization continues to grow because of the athletes, coaches and families who believe in what we’re building.
