On behalf of Midwest Speed 18U Koegl and the entire Midwest Speed program, we would like to congratulate Sienna Melz on her commitment to Crown College to continue her education and softball career!
Sienna joined Midwest Speed 18U Koegl this winter after spending the past three years with the Midwest Power program. She has already been a great addition to our team and will fill an important role in our pitching rotation, while also contributing at third base. Sienna is a senior at Aitkin High School, where she pitched the majority of the varsity innings last spring.
Sienna is a hard-working athlete with the drive and determination to continually improve. She brings a team-first mentality, loves to have fun, and also knows when it is time to lock in and compete. Coach Shelton shared, “She’s the one who wants the ball on the mound when it’s crunch time and is always looking for innings.” Sienna is also an extremely intelligent player with a high softball IQ, which makes her a valuable asset on and off the field.
We are incredibly excited to have Sienna on our roster, and she has already fit right in with the team.
Congratulations again to Sienna and the Melz family on her commitment to study Nursing and play softball for the Polars at Crown College! The entire Midwest Speed program wishes you nothing but the best in this next chapter.
