The Wellness Weigh is a friendly and supportive program designed for adults, meeting twice a week for two hours over six weeks. This program is all about encouraging positive changes in your life! We’re here to equip you with the tools and knowledge you need to reach your personal health and wellness goals in a fun and motivating way. Throughout the program, participants will learn the fundamental

s of healthy eating, covering topics such as food groups, healthy plate models, meal planning, food tracking, and tips for reading nutrition labels. Discussions will also address wellness, weight loss, the importance of hydration, blood sugar balance, inflammation, habit tracking, physical activity, mental and emotional health, the dangers of excessive sugar intake, and more! The Wellness Weigh program is all about bringing people together and creating a supportive community for those on similar wellness journeys. Our friendly, certified wellness instructors lead all the classes, ensuring everyone feels right at home. You'll enjoy valuable nutrition education from a certified nutritionist, engaging wellness activities, and exercise sessions tailored to fit your unique fitness level. The Wellness Weigh aims to adapt its approach to meet the diverse needs of participants, fostering an environment of inclusivity and support. The investment for this empowering program is $100.00, and includes membership to The Body Shoppe for the duration of the program with additional membership discounts available upon completion! 💖 What an incredible week it was at Girls Fitness Camp! 💖

This week was about so much more than exercise.

We lifted weights, played games, learned about healthy habits, made friendship bracelets, created healthy snacks, built confidence, and most importantly—we had FUN!

I loved watching these girls encourage one another, step outside their comfort zones, try new things, and discover just how strong they really are.

Thank you to all the parents who trusted us with your daughters this week. It was a blessing to spend time with such an amazing group of girls, and I hope they left knowing that being healthy is about feeling strong, confident, and capable—not being perfect.

The future is bright with this group. 💪✨

Our May 6th guest speaker was Jacy Keef, the Wellness Coordinator for The Body Shoppe, who described her “The Wellness Weigh” program. The Body Shoppe, located at 1138 West McCord in Centralia, offers a wide variety of high-end fitness equipment and programs, one of which is Jacy’s “The Wellness Weigh” Nutrition and Exercise Wellness Program.
Jacy firmly believes that with a good diet low in processed foods, an exercise program tailored to your needs, and allowing your body to heal from the inside out, can resolve many issues people face today. Currently, according to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), 72% of adults are overweight or obese, and 93% of American adults have at least one marker of cellular dysfunction. Through fitness and nutrition, starting with protein (an anchor nutrient), you can make yourself healthier. The fitness program is usually weights, bands, and resistance training to build back and maintain lost muscle mass. Consuming healthy fats, fiber-rich fruits and vegetables, balancing your blood sugar levels, and using a High- or Low-Impact training program (based on your situation) can help you feel better. She recommends approximately 30 grams of protein or more at every meal. That can be beef, chicken, or fish. What we choose to eat affects us a lot.
Ms. Keef concluded her presentation by answering questions from the audience on nutrition, fitness, and a healthy lifestyle.
