A huge shout out to two of our seniors that finished up their career last night:

Jennalee Dameron

Jennalee finished up a phenomenal running career on Friday as she qualified for the track state meet for the first time in her career, running in the 4x800 which finished 12th. She has been a WBL placer in af least one event all four years of her career. She’s been an excellent leader and mentor for her young teammates. Jennalee plans to go to college at Vet Tech Institute of Indiana. Thank you for everything, congrats on an awesome career, and good luck in the future!

Rachel Rammel

Rachel also finished up her career this past weekend, participating in three events. She was in the 4x1 (11th place) 4x2 (10th place) and in long jump (13th place). She has been a WBL placer in at least one event in the last 4 seasons, 3 as an individual. She is apart of 4 school records: 4x1, 4x2, triple jump, and triple jump relay. All three of those relays she holds with her sister, Maddie. Like Jennalee, Rachel has stepped up tremendously as a senior leader for a young girls team. Rachel plans to attend The Ohio State University in Lima and plans to obtain a degree in dentistry. Thank you for everything Rachel, and good luck!

STATE MEET SUMMARY

What a day the Bulldogs had! Lots to be proud of!

We had four podium finishes today!

Brenna Korte: 7th in long jump
Gracyn Harris: T-4th in pole vault
Ali Hemmelgarn: 4th in 100 hurdles
Elle Miesse: 8th in 1600

Other performances:

Zaden Rolfes: 12th in pole vault. Congrats on your record-breaking season!
Maddie Rammel: 9th in 100
Rachel Rammel: 13th in long jump

As a team, our girls finished 19th place! It was a great performance and an awesome stepping stone for such a young team! Congratulations Bulldogs! We are so proud of all of you!

Elle Miesse ran an AWESOME race and PR, finishing with a 5:00.84, finishing 8th place and earning a spot on the podium. Congrats Elle!

Maddie Rammel finished 9th in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.53, just three-thousandths of a second away from the podium. Congrats on a great performance and an awesome season!

Ali Hemmelgarn tied her school record in the 100 hurdles with a time of 14.35, finishing 4th place in the state! She was just .06 away from first place. Congrats Ali on a PHENOMENAL race and season!

Update: We’ve been under a rain delay for over an hour. They’re canceling the D-2 semifinal running events EXCEPT for the 3200. They said that they won’t resume until at least 7:45. They plan on getting D-3 done today. We’re hoping that the D-3 running events will begin at 8:15.

Congrats to Gracyn Harris on finishing tied for fourth place in pole vault with a vault of 12 feet! Congrats Gracyn on a great season!

A few updates:

Brenna Korte finished 7th in long jump with a jump of 17 feet, 5 inches. She was the only freshman to make the podium. Congrats Brenna!

Gracyn Harris is one of 5 remaining girls in pole vault. The height is currently at 12 feet, 6 inches, which would be both Gracyn’s PR and the school record. Awesome job Gracyn!

Currently we are in a weather delay. The meet won’t resume until at least 12:35. Gracyn has to finish up in pole vault yet. Zaden was scheduled to vault at 12, but that won’t happen on time.

The girls running events are currently scheduled to begin at 5:45. We are unsure yet if there will be any delays to this.

Running events schedule for today:

5:45 PM: 100 meter hurdles (Ali Hemmelgarn)
5:55 PM: 100 meter dash (Maddie Rammel)
6:20 PM: 1600 meter run (Elle Miesse)

There is a chance for storms today which could impact start times.

DAY #2 is underway! Girls long jump is going right now. Rachel Rammel finished a PHENOMENAL career today finishing with a jump of 16 feet, 11 inches, finishing 13th place. Congrats on an awesome career, and thank you for everything!

Brenna Korte clutched up on her third jump with a jump of 17 feet, 5 inches, currently placing her 5th as she heads to finals! Congrats Brenna!
