Ok this sounds negative but this has been the quilt from hell. 😆. I bought this quilt kit for $20 or $30 about 3 years ago from a DeStash blast at Not Your Mamas Quilt Store. Not knowing it was an appliqué quilt and I didn’t even know what that was! So I worked on it last year and this year at a quilt retreat. I’m happy to say that I finally finished it today!! I quilted it myself using wavy lines. This was hard but even with the mistakes, I love it 💜

Made this Marvel quilt for a coworker’s son. I had made a different quilt using Marvel fabric when his second son was born 2 years ago and now his first son (4 years old) wanted his own! So I had a little Marvel fat quarter bundle and got the border and backing from Michael’s. Quilted it myself using wavy lines. Pattern is Carefree by Villa Rosa. The first time I sewed this pattern was about 2 years ago when I went to a class and made my granddaughter a quilt.

My sweet friend was having a major surgery so I wanted to make her a quilt. I was actually working on it to give to her for her birthday this summer but then the surgery was scheduled so I sped it up. Fabric is Moss and Mulberry by Robert Kaufman. 💜💚

This quilt has been gifted so now I can post it. I had so much fun making this quilt! I used a layer cake Poppies & Plumes by Lila Tueller, a Riley Blake design. Beautiful colors. The pattern is Kaleidoscope of Stars by Kate Henderson Quilts. I always say it but this is one of my favorites ♥️💙
