What’s in for Sugarloaf Mountain ⛰ and “The Great Separation”?
This week we have attended to the Minneola City Council Workshop where it was discussed the Hancock Road Extension Concept Plans
And Adding a Passive Scenic Overlook Park on Sugarloaf Mountain Road.
Since the extension of Hancock road will directly cross the back side of the Sugarloaf Mountain, developers suggested two options for residents and property owners of the Sugarloaf Mountain to vote for.
The first option was a roundabout which would not be easily feasible due to the elevation of that part or the road.
The second option, which was the voted one, is called by the authorities “The Great Separation” wind it consists of a culvert under the road.
This will prevent the Hancock Rd traffic of going through Sugarloaf Mountain Rd and the cyclists will have the same road as we have today!
Many houses will be built in the area and the property owners would like to keep the mountain as low profile as possible, hopefully just having the cyclists and residents.
As things progress we will update it here.
