Hi CKD Family-
We are moving forward with small steps of our transition. Some updates are below:

-FRANK, our kiteshop exclusive model, will now be framed by Jon Trennepohl at Kites and Fun Things/Skyburner Kites. A UL version will be released sparingly in P100 and Nitro Lite spreaders. We look forward to seeing this kite surface in shops once more!
-Effective immediately, the Spur Series and Crux Strong are discontinued. This is to simplify orders and let us focus on future developments.
-In the coming weeks, the remaining Crux and Spur stock orders should be shipped.

-IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO ORDER A SAIL (Crux, Frank, Tank) OR CRYSTAL/X FLOW CARBON please email us immediately at [email protected]. We will be placing an order with our preferred supplier in the coming days- this is done sparingly, so stock up while you can.

Happy holidays to all!

CKD Update: John is feeling better and we've had a chance to sit down for a few days and discuss future plans. Remaining build inventory is arriving, and we are steadily completing standing orders before fully opening again. Standing orders will continue to go out around and through the holiday season. When we are ready to open in full, we will make an announcement on here and change the website to accept orders. Thank you for your patience as we catch up and develop action plans to continue the growth of CKD.

Take some time with your loved ones, enjoy your holiday season, and of course, fly a kite. Here's to a healthy and prosperous new year ahead.

To the CKD community:

The last few months have proven to be a trying time for CKD. In addition to our full time jobs, John’s health has declined resulting in surgeries and hospitalization for many weeks. The safety and health of my colleague, and best friend, is paramount- and for the time being orders have been and will continue to be placed on hold.

I am currently in Cedar Rapids for the day spending time with John. If you would like to send well wishes to him please use our company email at [email protected] or reach out to me directly. We have discussed this as a team- and as lifelong friends.

CKD has an action plan to come back bolder than before, but for now we ask that everyone send well wishes to John and fly a kite for him. We do plan to continue bringing cutting edge kites made with integrity and foster safe, growth oriented environments in the kiting community. We are pulling for a strong recovery for John and one of the big reasons CKD is what it is.
