What a night! 🏈🧡🖤

Our 3rd Annual Mentor Mentee Night was so much fun! This year, our high school players helped lead the camp, and it was great watching them work with and encourage our younger players.

Check out the team picture and individual mentor and mentee photos below! 📸 We’ll share even more camp pictures later this week, so stay tuned!

The first SBL home game is Friday, August 21! We can’t wait to see all of our mentees in the stands cheering on their mentors! 🏈📣

If you didn’t grab your mentor-mentee matchup form tonight, we’ll email it to you later this week.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the night so special. We can’t wait to watch these mentor and mentee relationships grow throughout the season!

Please arrive during your grade’s scheduled time:

6:00 PM — 6th Grade
6:30 PM — 5th Grade
7:00 PM — 4th Grade
7:30 PM — 3rd Grade

- Practice Jersey
- Shoulder Pads
- Helmet
- Football Pants
-Guardian Caps are on the way and will be handed out soon!

🏈 LESS THAN ONE WEEK TO GO! 🧡🖤

The countdown is on! We’re officially less than one week away from our most anticipated event of the year…Mentor Mentee Night! 🎉

This is the night our youth players meet their high school mentors, build relationships, and kick off the season by working through a series of football drills together. It’s a great way to start the season!

Before Sunday, make sure you’ve completed these two steps:

✅ Register for SBL Youth Football (if you haven’t already).

✅ RSVP for Mentor Mentee Night so we know you’ll be there.

🏈 Equipment Checkout is THIS THURSDAY! Register by Thursday, then stop by during your scheduled grade-level pickup time to receive your equipment and jersey.

🏈 A huge THANK YOU to Scheels for their generous donation of Guardian Caps for all of our 3rd through 6th grade Sergeant Bluff Youth Football players!

Thanks to their support, all our athletes will have Guardian Caps available to wear during both practices and games this season, helping provide an extra layer of protection on the field.

🏈 NEW THIS YEAR: JUNIOR MENTORS! 🏈

We’re inviting SBL 7th and 8th grade football players to serve as Junior Mentors at Mentor–Mentee Night and this season!

Each Junior Mentor will partner with a high school football player to help lead younger players through a series of drills and activities. Junior Mentors will also be encouraged to continue supporting their mentees and cheer them on throughout the season!
