The Hoosier National Forest (Southern Indiana) has proposed a plan amendment that would close approximately 3 miles of Tower Ridge Road to motorized vehicles. This road is a well-used connector for ADV riders and off-roaders in the U.S. Forest Service - Hoosier National Forest and there aren't many places like it left in Indiana. If this amendment goes through, we lose another piece of legal, accessible riding.

The good news: they're required to take public comment, and comments are only open for 30 days from the notice's publication so get your comment in ASAP.

I am writing to respectfully oppose the proposed Hoosier National Forest Land and Resource Management Plan amendment that would remove the standard keeping Tower Ridge Road open, and would result in closing approximately 3 miles of Tower Ridge Road to motorized vehicles.

Tower Ridge Road is a valued route for the adventure motorcycling and off-road community in Indiana. I ask that the Forest Service reconsider this closure and maintain motorized access to Tower Ridge Road as it currently exists.

Friend of the Rally Matthew Ransom is about a month out from leaving for the Rallye du Maroc! His initiative is well underway, but he has to finish strong in Morocco to get to Dakar! We encourage you to follow Off Piste Adventure, and follow the Race in Morocco to see how he does! Good luck, Matt!
