New to me bike day. Introducing my Cielo Sportif road bike. There is something special about a classic steel road bike.

Years ago I used to own a Cielo Road racer and I always regretted selling that bike. When a friend had this frame available I knew I had to have it. Upon closer inspection I discovered that the frame had been in some sort of front end impact and it had a cracked headtube. Luckily is close by and he was able to replace the headtube and get this bike back on the road. The great thing about steel is that you can repair it. It would have been a shame for this bike to end up in a landfill somewhere.

It was well worth the wait. This bike rides like a dream. Super smooth and snappy. Surprisingly stiff while sprinting. Clears a 32c tire(probably a 35 if I want), mechanical shifting, rim brakes, etc. I couldn’t be happier.

Important announcement! 🚨

Dear friends and family of Anza Bags,

Effective May 1st I have made the decision to close Anza Bag Co. I started Anza Bags in 2016 as a passion project and a creative outlet for me to have fun making bags for friends. I have had a blast making bags to help people get out and explore over the last 6+ years. Operating a small business in addition to being a father of 2 wonderful and active toddlers, working full time and attempting to have time to ride my bike has made me make tough decisions on prioritizing my time. One of these things had to go and making bags for profit is what I chose. For me, sewing has always been about having fun and learning new things and I look forward to having some more free time to sew some bags for myself and family.

I will be pivoting my Instagram to a page dedicated to bikes and my hobby of sewing for joy not profit. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of the love and support over the years. I look forward to seeing you out on the road and trails.

Rebuilt the Ross with some newish parts. I got this frame from a my buddy and had it built as a single speed. I wanted to use some of the parts I had laying around and try using it as a commute bike. This thing rides buttery smooth, is super noodly but comfy.

Frame-Ross Steel Road frame( not sure the year. Maybe 80’s)
Shifters,derailleurs-Campy Chorus 10s
Wheels-Chris King hubs laced to A23 rims
Tires-panaracer gravel king 32c tubeless
Bars-Easton ax 44cm
