They Lady Devils come away with a big win on May 12 against Burton. The 9 t0 3 victory wnr in the books as a W. for Anna Summers, who also had a perfect day at the plate and a 2 run Homer. Kiya White, Charleigh Hall ,Layla Ervin, and Ana Rios also made huge offensive contributions.

If you didnt make it to this evening's game, man you missed a good one. Layla Ervin started on the mound for the Lady Devils then Anna Summers came in and closed the deal. It was a total team effort with great appearances at the plate from all of the girls. The Devils came away with the 2-1 district win against Twin Springs.

Anna Summers collected three hits in four at bats, as Castlewood Varsity Blue Devils defeated Thomas Walker 17-3 on Tuesday. Summers singled in the first inning, singled in the third inning, and singled in the fifth inning.

Castlewood Varsity Blue Devils jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Jozalynn Phillips singled, scoring one run, a passed ball scored one run, and a passed ball scored two runs.

Castlewood Varsity Blue Devils added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Summers was struck by a pitch, Layla Ervin walked, Phillips grounded out, Madison Fields singled to left field, and Olivia Johnson walked, each scoring one run.

Castlewood Varsity Blue Devils added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Charleigh Hall doubled to left field, Phillips grounded out, and Fields doubled down the left field line, each scoring one run.

Ervin earned the win for Castlewood Varsity Blue Devils. The starting pitcher surrendered three hits and three runs over two and one-third innings, striking out five and walking three. S Ellis took the loss for Thomas Walker. The starting pitcher went five innings, surrendering 17 runs (13 earned) on 14 hits, striking out six and walking 10. Summers collected the save.

Castlewood Varsity Blue Devils amassed 14 hits in the game. Phillips drove the middle of the lineup, leading Castlewood Varsity Blue Devils with five runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 3-for-5 on the day. Phillips, Fields, Summers, and Hall each collected three hits for Castlewood Varsity Blue Devils. Ervin paced Castlewood Varsity Blue Devils with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, tallying 10 walks for the game. Leadoff hitter K Short led Thomas Walker with three hits in three at bats. J Middleton, C Price, and Short each drove in one run for Thomas Walker.

Anna Summers Puts On Strong Contact Performance As Castlewood Varsity Blue Devils Take The Win Over Council

Anna Summers collected five hits in five at bats, as Castlewood Varsity Blue Devils defeated Council 16-4 on Monday. Summers singled in the third inning, singled in the second inning, doubled in the fifth inning, and singled in the first inning.

Castlewood Varsity Blue Devils got on the board in the top of the first inning after Jozalynn Phillips singled down the left field line, Madison Fields grounded out, Kiya White singled to left field, and Gracie Smith grounded out, each scoring one run.

A single by Summers extended the Castlewood Varsity Blue Devils lead to 5-2 in the top of the second inning.

Castlewood Varsity Blue Devils scored seven runs on eight hits in the top of the third inning. Smith singled, scoring one run, Summers singled, scoring two runs, Phillips singled, scoring two runs, Fields doubled, scoring one run, and White singled, scoring one run.

Summers pitched three innings in relief for Castlewood Varsity Blue Devils. The reliever gave up zero hits and zero runs while, striking out six and walking none. Layla Ervin stepped in the circle first for Castlewood Varsity Blue Devils. The righty surrendered two hits and two runs (one earned) over two-thirds of an inning, striking out one and walking one. Candace Runyon led things off in the circle for Council. The hurler gave up 16 hits and 12 runs (11 earned) over three innings, striking out one and walking three.

Ava Rose, Zoey McGlothlin, Megan Hess, and Leah Wilson each collected one hit for Council. Runyon, Hess, and Wilson each drove in one run for Council. Rose and McGlothlin each stole multiple bases for Council. Council worked the count all day, piling up five walks. Council stole five bases in the game. Council turned one double play in the game. Council were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Wilson had the most chances in the field with six.

Castlewood Varsity Blue Devils will travel to Thomas Walker for their next game on Tuesday.

Lady Devils MS softball with first win of season against Twin Springs. K. Culberstson gets the win. L. Rasnake did a great job behind the plate. While L. Franklin went 2 for 2 with 2RBIs.
